  1. I'm still hoping to discover that raw 9.8 out there somewhere. I know its out there. I can smell it.
  2. Wow, awesome grab on that HC for $20! Like Peter said, that book sold in auction for over 5x that just a few days ago. I think the time before that I saw it go for over $200!
  3. In regards to adding books to the #1-62, I had made a post about a year ago in the forums that clarified which books were missing or mislabeled. I listed each print for #1 with the years produced as a few of them were wrongly labeled. About a week after a few books were in the list that weren't registered yet. I think there are still some tweaks that need to be made to that list. Ex. - two spots are there for 5th print #1. Also, I agree with labeling it Volume 1, and keeping the one shots in there. I don't see any other way it should be then what it actually is.
  4. I still have #3, #4, & #7(2nd print) 9.6s for sale....
  5. Awesome find on the video game reprint. Thats the 1 book I thought I'd have the toughest time getting that high of a grade. (besides #1 1st of course)
  6. That was me. I bought this book raw after buying maybe 8? copies of this book. This one was going to be the 9.6-9.8 I was looking to add to my collection. Book comes back and its RESTORED! AH! seriously!? Grader's notes state there is a slight marker line at the tip top of the spine, across the width of the spine. But it didn't matter. I was approved for a home loan the next day. From there I decided I was selling everything I've ever collected. Thanks again Peter Palmer
  7. I'm betting that has something to do with it, but to be fair, this not only came out well before the variant craze of the 90's, but it was an unintentional variant. Without having a normal edition to compare this to, I can see how the missing light blue color on the cover can fly under the radar. A big portion of the reason I like it is because it has a small story behind it. Most variants are around just to sell more copies, but this one was a pure accident. I completely feel the same way about this book, and the 90s craze of variants. It's the fact that it was an accident that makes it seem more desirable to own a copy, or 2, or 3. I've owned 3
  8. I should of stated the rarest MIRAGE TMNT book. I know of all the others and there print counts, its just none of those other books were actually published by Mirage. Not including the Gobbedlys because its not TMNT.
  9. This should help. Mirage Studios : #3 Only 500 copies in existence. Absolutely the rarest Turtles book.
  10. As some of you know, I have been dismantling my collection due to buying a home. + It's been fun while its lasted over the past 2 years getting CGC books, and even more so when I started coming here and learning from everyone. I have a thread in the Comic Market - Sales Advertising. I know this may be a little out of line or against board policy so I won't list the link. I just figured some of you may not visit those sections and overlook it. So some of you may appreciate the heads up that theres TMNT CGC books for sale. I have a massive collection of raw TMNT books so hopefully once I'm settled again I can return to submitting books and getting back and improving my spot. (#6!) I hope no one takes offense to this post. Thanks, -Don
  11. That's weird that they have done that. I too have contacted them in the past with no response. I currently have the first 6 prints graded. I have PBBZ(7th), FCBD, '10 Color Reprint, & Color Reprint MISPRINT ready to be shipped out, but looks like I'm not doing that anymore. Only one missing is the Gamestop Reprint from '07. I only have one copy of that and its not nice. Its been a tough book to get a hold of. So that equals out to 11 with me also. Also, thanks for the advice. btw, that 5th print looks like a 9.8.
  12. Will do. My train of thought was to try and sell all my #1s in one lot. 1st through 6th. Would be expensive but a cool way for someone to acquire all these books in NM in one shot. That might be added incentive, or not as it would be a very pricey lot to sell. What do you/anyone think? Maybe someone can help me out with deciphering the census? Vol. 1 #1 has what I believe to be 2 slots for the 5th print. One lists as 5th print, and the other census page doesnt show a variant print but instead shows the same year as the 5th print. I can only assume theres been 2 spots for 5th print for some odd mistaken reason. Personal side note, this is heavily depressing to get rid of this collection. ESPECIALLY after just acquiring my holy grail. I was only 5 books away from having every #1 variant graded.
  13. Mailday: Looked more like a 9.4 but not complaints here! Restored: "Color touch" . Unfortunately for me I didn't notice the 1/16" top spine was hit with a sharpie. I can't believe all the trouble I've gone through to find one this nice. Currently the only Copy registered with CGC! Bingo In transit: #1 - 4th Print 9.8 #1 - 5th Print 9.8 #7 - 2nd Print 9.6
