Marvel 2 in 1 Ann 2 VF $30 Key Thanos and Warlock book! Thanos dies for 1st time I took this book way back on page 21 of this thread. Probably just missed with everything selling like it did.

Spencer has always been good to me, and if he is working at updating his site by removing sold pages, adding new pages, and adding scans, then I would have no complaints. Here's hoping he follows through and we can see some great art for sale being added soon.

I'll take a look at Spencer's site when it goes up, but my problems with it remain the same as ever. It's not updated. There are many pages without scans. Sure, he has some great artists represented, and searching through everything is part of the "hunt", but when you are trying to collect art on a limited budget, it would be kind of nice to actually have any idea if you're going to actually be able to get any of the pages that you are inquiring about or if they were sold two years ago. I mean, I understand that I might be competing against others for the same page and I'm ok with that, but I'd rather not waste my time and planned budget inquiring about pages that were sold a long time ago and just not removed from the site. I am of the opinion it's a huge disservice to both the artists he represents and those trying to buy from the page. I mean no disrespect to Spencer, as he's always been good to me when I've bought art from him, but I find I'm less and less excited about these sales every year because of the lack of updates to his site.

Bought BTT#3 from Paul. Came and couldn't be happier. Described perfectly, well packed, with good shipping. Definitely would buy from again without hesitation.

A couple that I just got...

a few pick ups .. a little cheesecake and some war books...

Yeah the 100 I got has a bit of a rub on the color on the top corner. I grabbed it anyways as it was cheap and I like how the red DC Universe logo looks against the black. But yeah. it's definitely not a 9.8 condition. That would make sense that they came from the boxed 6 pack, as the 96 was damaged and I left it there. They had other Flash comics but not DC Universe logos. So I picked up 5 of the 6.

For the record I was the one who bought the books that are in question from the seller. I had sent a PM about them when saw they were still available (and I honesty missed the "Take it" post regarding them, Was looking at it on my phone and was trying to check things out best I could). I expected that if they were "taken" the seller would have let me know this. He sent me a response indicating they were available and I paid for everything. Now, I can't say what the sellers reason was for this, be it lack of response to a pm, multiple copies of the book, or human error on his part, but I don't believe the seller would go out of their way to sell these books to me for any reason. I saw this posting a few days later in the thread and wasn't sure what happened. Just wanted to get on record here that I wasn't trying to screw anybody out of books they had claimed, and if I had realized it, I wouldn't have sent the PM about it to begin with.

Outstanding. bought a bundle of comic magazines from Jeff and they came perfectly as described, well packed, and fast. Couldn't have gone any smoother and will buy from again without hesitation.

There were actually three different dealers that had them and I was kinda surprised myself. One guy was priced decently but only had about 6 issues, the other was about just right price wise with an occasional bargain, and the last one was priced really low.. so I bought several from him; which is where I grabbed issue 9, 11, and 16 and the Vampirella.

Grabbed a bunch of these over at the local comic con yesterday for pretty much bargain prices.. and here's a close up of the Creepy 9. Can't totally tell from photo but it has small chip out on spine at bottom side, about two inches from bottom, and a minor spine roll. Other than that it's really nice shape.

I can't 100% state that it is Romita Sr. by the art, and I'll leave that to the experts. I can state that Romita Sr (and Romita Jr) were both doing inked sketches at Wonder Con in Oakland in 1999. I was there at that show. It's been one of my regrets that I didn't get anything done; as I didn't have a lot of $$$ and I could only afford the sketch by Romita Jr which I was giving to my best man at my wedding that year. (Romita Sr was charging $100 and Romita Jr was $60 for inked sketches.. Got a Spider Man done by Romita Jr and he humorously complained about all the webbing on the costume and tried to talk me into getting Daredevil). From what memory serves, this looks about right for the sketches I was seeing from Romita Sr at that show, and for the paper that he was doing these sketches on. Like I said.. I'll leave confirmation to some of the experts here who are better at determining these things.

Grabbed a book from one of Andrew's sales threads. Received it and couldn't be happier. Will buy from again.
