  1. Just curious why does anyone give a about a Mark Jewelers insert? Isn't that just an ad for rings?

Why would someone pay any amount of money for any collectible that doesn't have a non-functional use?

Some people derive pleasure from owning something that they perceive as rare. Some people are completionists. Those are two extremely common themes of collecting for many people. I'm surprised you've never heard of them.

I heard the term thrown around just thought it was silly. I guess one mans trash is another mans treasure.

  2. X-Factor 23 is his 1st cameo (2 pages, actually) and I never see 9.8s on ebay except SS copies.

I know you're correct about #23 but I just checked ebay and CGC doesn't mention it which is odd. Just a general note about horseman.

I just read but never realized the covers of 24, 25 & 26 are suppose to form a mural. Might look nice to have some CGC copies displayed side by side.

Works well in black and white, not so great in color.

  3. Oh man, I just noticed the show doesnt air again for a month- they just started up again 5 episodes ago! I dont watch much tv, is this type of thing (multiple hiatus in one season) common?

Check again, there's a show next week. :headbang:

9 | 8c The Flash Revenge of the Rogues - Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold returns to Central City with a new hotheaded partner in tow – Mick Rory AKA Heat Wave.

The CW web site is really disorganized, it took me a few minutes to find this - maybe you read wrong.

    Yeah it's a rerun.

  4. SO, it is still based off of Nielsen ratings? That's lame... that means no matter how much I watch something, it doesn't count, but the "Nielsen families" get to account for my vote.

    :(

No wonder Constantine is doing poorly in the "ratings." IMHO, they need to drop the Nielsen thing. It's , in this day & age, to assume what they watch is representative of what everyone else is watching, esp. with digital boxes. I know they can do it that way, as they seem to know how much a show is recorded via DVR and watched later.

    meh

Out of the thousands of people that I have known in my lifetime zero of them have been a Nielson "rater". To me the ratings are all garbage.

  5. Ok, free shipping in the US for both options. Sorry international folks...but Option A is gigantic and I can't imagine what it would cost to sent abroad, and Option B is ticking... So I'd prefer to avoid starting an international incident. :D

    Option A - 4'x6' Double-Sided Spider-Man Movie Outdoor poster (2002)

These posters hung at bus stops and I got this one from the Boston area. Actually a friend snagged it for me. It's huge, but it's gorgeous. Shiny and beautiful. If you've got a man cave? This thing would be awesome.

    Option B - Limited Edition (5,000) Spider-Man watch from 1993 with COA

This watch is in perfect shape, not sure it was ever worn. Comes in its original box and with COA. When I pulled it out it obviously wasn't running, so I took it to a jeweler and had a new battery installed and now it's running great. Based on a Mark Bagley design.

I think those are both pretty cool options, but if they're not grabbed I'll obviously look to add some more traditional options too. Just thought maybe something different might spark some interest!

I could have sworn I saw these offered before, must be having a little deja vu !!

  6. I don't think he technically claimed them yet. I'm not sure?

If not, or if you split them up :takeit: just the TMNT books. :wishluck:

Ya I'm just not sure, was he claiming them or inquiring about shipping costs first? Rules lawyers? You can have 2nd dibs on the TMNT books if he wasn't making a claim or if he will let you take those if he was making an official claim.

Was on the road earlier so I didn't get a chance to respond. I didn't realize they were separate RAks but Maloney414 is welcome to the turtles if they are still available. :takeit: the walking deads if they are still available. THX
