  1. I take it you were the winner? No. I was lucky to buy the Mass copy unslabbed earlier in the year and it came back 9.4 White so I sat this one out.

  3. To the best of my knowledge, only the Mass collection has the early Kirby westerns. The Boston westerns start in 1965. I asked Jerry Weist about any White Mountain Marvel westerns and he thinks there might have been as many as a dozen but can't remember for sure. No Curators. Someone said there might be come Circle 8 books but I haven't seen any.
  4. There are Mass copies of the entire run but most of them are still hiding in collections.
  5. Sadly, I sold it a number of years ago after buying it from Hugh O'Kennon back in 1980.
  6. I spy with my little eye a White Mountain copy. I hate you.
  7. There are too many pages for me check to see if this has been posted yet. If it has - oops.
  8. Congrats! The Atlas Rawhide Kids are a VERY cool run because it's comprised of only 16 issues so completing the run is a less daunting task than completing an Atlas run of Kid Colt or Two-Gun Kid. HOWEVER, even though it's only sixteen issues, try to put one together - it aint easy. Unless I missed one (and it's possible) there's only a #6 available on eBay at the moment. There are more Outlaw Kid and Ringo Kid books for sale than Rawhide Kid. Furthermore, Metropolis has only three issues for sale.
  9. Would you expect anything less from DTA??? I don't know him so I'll defer to others.
  10. That's rather aggressive pricing. http://cgi.ebay.com/RAWHIDE-KID-23-GREAT-1961-JACK-KIRBY-ORIGIN-NICE-/330482117208?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf244ea58#ht_2068wt_1141
  11. Once upon a time I was the owner of this book. :-( I bought it from Metropolis around 1995 for (I think) $200 - which, in 1994 was NOT cheap. Please tell it hello for me.
  12. You can't on the listing itself - you have to wait for the seller to get feedback from the buyer to see who it was.
  13. http://Support-the-Collectors-Society.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370438175924&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT It closed - clearly two people wanted it really bad.
  14. At the NY show this weekend, other than Harley and his two RK #17, there wasn't a single "key" Marvel western book anywhere.
  15. Let's sit back and see how many come out of the woodwork now.
  16. GOOD GRIEF and it's not even over!!!!!!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370438175924&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  17. I know it's not Silver but it sho is purdie. I picked it up today at the NYC show.
  18. Stumbled across this at today's NYC show. And it's even prettier in person.
  19. White Mountain *sigh* The best smelling Silver books ever.
  20. This little puppy just arrived. Unlike the superhero titles, few people know where the Marvel westerns fall in relation to their superhero counterparts. This issue was the same month as Spidey #5, FF #19 and the month after X-Men #1 and Avengers #1.
  21. Very nice! Did you buy it from Heritage last year yourself, or through someone else later on? No, I wasn't buying these last year - I really started getting back into the groove a few months ago.
  22. It's waiting for my next image posting (tomorrow).
