  1. If the show happens we will be there, but I’m waiting for cancellation announcements and am also surprised they’re not coming. We have a show this weekend and so far they’re not canceling, but after the new developments like the NBA it’s going to be difficult to justify holding a show.
  2. The Houston rodeo just canceled, and I know that my university is contemplating going online only after spring break. Other universities have already made this move. Earlier today Ace Northeast postponed.
  3. With the precautions regarding the elderly that are in place we will see.
  4. For how long? I hope the show happens, for everyone’s sake, but the more the hysteria grows the more difficult it’s going to be for show promoters to resist postponing or canceling.
  5. They have attended for years. They don’t do onsite grading anymore, but you can drop off. CGC event schedule
  6. Who cancelled it? If the business made the call that may not have impacted C2E2 in the same way that a directive from the city or McCormick would have.
  7. Just one book for the moment, but it is a pretty cool one. I accept (in declining order of preference for this book): Venmo, money order, check, and Paypal. We can discuss method of payment if you would like. International buyers cannot pay with a check or money order. Shipping is included in the price for US customers. International buyers get a $10 US credit and will pay the remaining cost to their location via some trackable method. CGC books are not returnable without a really good reason, and buyer's remorse is not on that list. It is pretty clear what you're buying here. Nobody on any naughty list is welcome here, nor anyone that has previously backed out of a deal with me. via PM or in the thread is the gold standard. The sign being thrown either via PM or in the thread will end any negotiations that have not been completed. In the event of a near tie I will do my very best to determine the new owner of the book fairly. I have a pretty full day today on campus, so I will do my best to respond to PMs or this thread ASAP. Don't assume anyone is the new owner until I say they are, in case a PM trumps something. Captain America Comics #73 CGC 3.0 Cream to Off-White pages -- asking $725 shipped in the US I had a pipe dream of collecting all these 1949 Timely picture frame books, but other collecting goals take precedence so this book can be moved. I do not need to sell, but am happy to let this book go to a new home. Price is not too far above what I paid, but I am happy to discuss reasonable offers.
  8. @Kevin Boyd, has there been any discussion on the potential impact from the coronavirus on this show based on what is happening around Emerald City?
  9. Thanks! The good news is that my efforts to be more selective are paying off. I’ve stopped chasing shiny objects and am keeping my powder dry for books that are firmly in my collecting goals.
  10. Couldn't pass up these two. The TTA is particularly difficult, you don't see many copies and definitely not in nicer grade.
  11. My self-imposed moratorium on spending ran aground once again. Couldn't pass on these two in my favorite grade for pre-hero:
  12. Agreed. I’ve always loved this book ever since I first found out about it. Also not one of the more common TOSs.
  13. To be fair, a miswrap is in the eye of the beholder. I likewise don’t have the time or interest to dig too deeply into this, especially since it’s something I’ve kept an eye on for 30+ years.
  14. 25 is not a lot of books, and the sample is skewed to those books auctioned through one (typically higher end) house. I’d be interested to see the ratio on eBay or ComicLink (who also auctions a boatload of AF #15s.
  15. I don’t have a dog in the hunt on the pressing issue. As a huge Spidey fan, I noticed long ago that this book is commonly miswrapped. I was on the lookout for years and have seen hundreds of copies both online and in person. Finding a copy with no part of the A or 12 cent circle wrapped onto the spine is quite uncommon.
  16. Miswraps are common on AF #15, front to back with the A and 12 cent circle wrapping around the spine.
  17. @arinya, CGC will be there, so if you’re attending the show getting a book signed for SS should be no problem.
  18. One book today, but it is one you don't see very often! Recently purchased from an OO collection and just back from CGC. Book has been pressed. Shipping included in the price for US customers, international buyers pay any cost above $10 US of trackable shipping to their location. Payment via Paypal, checks, MO, or Venmo accepted. Returns not accepted as this is a slabbed book. Asking $325 shipped in US.
  19. Sounds great! While a setup isn't feasible, I'm hoping a visit may be in the cards.
  20. Been a while since I was able to find one I needed in the wild, but persistence pays off.
