  1. I'm not sure how/or how much the current system can be improved. The forum is pretty good at policing it self/having each others back, at least thats my impression.
  2. You're right of course. (thumbs u Just making a general point that low post count doesn't always = untrustworthy, nor does 1-2K posts necessarily = trustworthy. That said, I do avoid newbie sellers without obvious credentials or references. I agree and so do some of the numbers. brasseye (added 7/2/09) 3169 posts clobberintime (added 11/7/07) 1786 posts comicmankev (added 3/27/07) 2269 posts I guess you just never know. But i will always be suspicious of people who sign up just to sell...
  3. +1 I've had many great experiences selling to people with extremely low post counts (in one case, the buyer literally had 0 posts and did everything through PMs)...and at least one poor experience selling to someone with 1000+ posts who dropped off the face of the earth in mid-payment. I don't think it's the zero post count buyers that are the problems so much as the sellers,, Any stats on that from the probation list ?
  4. The main reason for me to sign up for this forum was to buy buy buy. I spend a good amount of time in the KUDOS thread and this one before deciding on witch total stranger i would throw a wad of cash after (was looking for a WD #1) I think the kudos thread works but could probably be refined. But like someone mentioned it's not everyone who leaves kudos so numbers would be skewed, i for one would have zero feedback as buyer (whine whine whine ) Keeping it updated with number of kudos (if i understand you correctly) would be a lot of work ? just my
  5. But have any of you read/going to read Whispers in walls 6 issue mini:
  6. I once took 3 of those thinking it was extacy...... All kidding aside though. You will never be able to protect yourself againt thieves 100%. A combo of x # of post combined with membership for x # of weeks before you can sell here might eliminate the rip & run types. The more clever ones will start padding their post count with HAPPY BIRTHDAY post....wait a minute...
  7. Please do, considering the title myself after checking it out on comixology. Looks to be right up my alley.
  8. It won't. Ebay will be flooded with #1's when the show airs....so sell me your copy now for $150 Trust me, i'm doing you a favor here
  9. I think a variant pr 50 is more then enough, even though i like the #75 variants But who knows, maybe they'll turn WD into a Crossed 7-8 var. pr issue fest after the tv show airs
  10. Yes and it could be awesome on film As for the WD trailer, the more i watch it the less i like it, the music seems all wrong
  11. I agree and i don't have a spare room just for comic display so reprint is they way to go for me. I would be rotating the comics on display as i had a theme based display in mind. And even though i don't own any high value books there's no reason to risk any fading. I guess it's time to get on with my sign project Maybe it will be done faster if Flee-Marquette or comicwiz is willing to lend a hand with photoshop/illustrator
  12. All this UV talk really have me reconsidering my own display project. I'm starting to think that a HQ reprint is the way to go to avoid any damage at all
  13. It's ugly, UGLY i say (because i don't own one ) About cleaning plastic, i would not anything but a little dish soap in water and a soft cloth
  14. KUDOS to Blind Owl for fast shipping and enjoyable pm conversations (thumbs u
  15. I still need those in my collection Oh and a WD#1 cgc 9.8 went for $480 last night on ebay, thats the lowest i've seen in a while
  16. We are making a few final tweaks to our brand spanking new FX Walking Dead trailer. Apologies for the tease and delay. We will post it as soon as it’s ready for release. It will be sooooo worth the wait… a few eh
  17. Kudos to spirit_radio for my WD additions, thanks to proper packaging they survived the I-hate-my-job-and-don't-give-a-sh...mentality that many postal workers seems to have.
  18. Yeah i'm having a hard time waiting as well. I'm not getting vol.12 until next month So i'm seriously considering the risk of turning my 9.9 floppies into 9.2's
