At least yours came back!
I'm still waiting...

Check the other djbrady4u auctions that high bidder is on (especially Walking Dead 19).
-
I saw that, too! Bidding war between a couple buyers.
They REALLY wanted that book!

I received a short stack of horror comics from Mark today, as always: well packed and cool freebies inside! There could not be a nicer guy to buy or talk comics with than Mark. (thumbs u

Her Fancy Pants Were Worn in the 1954 Movie River of No Return
$44,800 for used underwear? No. No? Even if the undies belonged to Marilyn Monroe?
That's precisely what one collector paid for Monroe's pantaloons at a recent Beverly Hills auction. Auctioneer Darren Julien says long, fancy underwear was worn by Monroe in the 1954 flick River of No Return, and the thought of owning a piece of classic Hollywood memorabilia was worth the hefty price tag to one bidder.
Sooooo, you might be get away with showing pantaloons off at bingo night.
(But I wouldn't try it.)

The last two signed volume 1 sketchbooks were right at $100. One was over, one was just below.
I expected the estate copy to go for a bit more than it did.
Thanks, I'll have to adjust my expectations.
I have a question for everyone, though, do you collect the Dave Stevens t-shirts, too?
I do.

You're right. It came with a COA, and was signed. It did go for $108.49. That's nearly twice what I was expecting the final price to be. I was just wondering if that's in the usual range for that particular item.

Did anybody here win it? I have seen it come up every once in a while. I'm curious though, does that Sketchbook Volume One usually go for that much? I didn't bid but that seems pretty pricey.

I wanted to sort of give a time line here. I got a box of 16 slabs in the mail yesterday. All the books Moderns, and CGC received them on February 6. This seems pretty close in turnaround time to other batches.

A new Stevens registry set leader?

I'm seriously surprised more of these haven't been slabbed. One other Alter Ego 21 and no 43? Come on completionists!
I have a couple in "scheduled to be graded" status right now. I think I'll be lucky to do as well as yours! (thumbs u

You two have been awfully quiet lately.
Demands at work - not due to lack of interest.
Something has to pay for all that comic love.
I hear that!

Great stuff! (thumbs u
It's always good to read or hear about D.S. in person. Even better to hear what a great guy he was. Wish I'd been able to meet him.

#108 of 1000...
Excellent!

Any others? (Twisted Tales, perhaps?)

It seems like a pretty important cover to me. Maybe because it really creeped me out when I first saw it.

It's under Eclipse Graphic Album Series.
Only 2, one at 9.2, one at 9.6.
Why is this one not included in the Dave Stevens Cover set?
-
Perfectly packed, arrived swiftly! Great to deal with - Thanks Paul!

I thought folks might be interested to see this, it's the Pup Cafe in Venice, CA in the mid-forties. The photo is by Ansel Adams.

I hope so. Just anecdotal, but I seem to come across more issues of 1 and 3 for sale than 2. I kind of doubt the print numbers or distribution would be different, but maybe someone else knows.

Been a while since we did this... Here's my raw collection of Dave.
Hey Joshua-
Nice collection! I'm not familiar with the book just to the right of the Mr. Monster and below Elvira. What is it?

I purchased a couple of books from Andy - very happy with the books! They arrived promptly, and Andy could not be nicer to deal with!
Thanks again!

Nice!
Will you be posting it, once it comes back?
(I just checked, I'm still in "Verified" status. That bunch has been stuck there since March.)
