    I have a for sure 9.8 Web of Spider-man #118, but upon closer inspection I notice about a 1/2 inch split along the spine(middle of both staples) , I can see daylight if I have the cover at 90 degrees. What would I be looking at as a possible grade ? I'm trying to see if its worth grading because of this or now. Thanks.

    Fair enough. If the crease doesn't press out, with that type of crease, would it return back as a 9.0 or 9.6 or 9.8. What would a crease like that drop a book in grade value? I'd rather not spend the money for a signature and have it come back a 9.0. There is an exact book already graded as 9.8 and it would cost me $120 cnd in purchase/shipping. I'm just getting into grading so I don't know how hard a defect like this would hurt the grade. I'd be happy with a 9.6

    Has a small crease on cover what do you think it will grade out all else perfect? I see there are other book that are 9.8 for sale should I buy those and submit for signing?
