  1. After collecting Wertham-era innuendoes, I had to branch out & get some newer innuendo covers.
  2. Let’s not forget the Joker’s... ahem... can I say it here?
  3. I was always disturbed by the ones that imply love=rape.
  4. Thanks for the heads up, snitzer! I certainly would have missed this thread, at least for a while, since lately I'm spending less time on the boards. Some of my best stuff is already posted... the image that Funnybooks posted is a photo from my collection. As I was collecting SOTI books, I created a section of my collection called "Wertham Missed It", slowly picking up some of the books that Wertham didn't single out, but probably would have if he had seen them. Pics to come...
  5. The Comics Market Forum Only Selling Area is for items that are listed for sale only on these boards and nowhere else. At the top of one of these forums, such as the gold/silver/bronze forum, you'll see a link to "usage guidelines". Your thread would have been pulled if you violated one of the guidelines. Based on your comment, I'm guessing you were offering books that are available elsewhere. It could have also been pulled if you listed something as an auction without including a buy-it-now price. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/63-comics-market-forum-only-selling-area/ For items that are also offered for sale elsewhere, use this thread https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/19-comics-market-sales-advertising-ebay-dealers-etc/ I hope that helps to clarify.
  6. It's all yours. Since I put this post up, I came across another X-men tape. So I'll be sending you both volumes 1 and 2. Just PM me your address and I'll get them in the mail.
  7. Glad to see this going to its rightful home. Just PM me your address and I'll send it along this week.
  8. CGC certifies only signatures that they have witnessed*. CGC will not certify an un-witnessed signature, whether there is a COA or not. This is because they don't have 100% certainty that the comic book was signed as indicated. I used to have a Classics Illustrated that was "signed" by Mark Twain, and I printed up a fancy-looking Certificate of Authenticity to demonstrate how easy it is to fake a signature and certificate. I'm not saying yours is a fake at all. I'm just saying that CGC will certify only things about which they are 100% certain. If you send the book to be graded, it could get a green (qualified) label indicating what the grade would be without writing on it, or it could be downgraded for the writing on the cover (the same way it would be downgraded if I scribbled my own name on it) and get a blue label. Either way, you should not send the certificate to CGC because it's not relevant to CGC's grading and it would likely not be returned to you. *I believe they may also certify signatures that come to them directly from the creator who signed the item, but I'm not 100% certain about that.
  9. Bendy figure of, uh... I had no idea who, but thanks to Rogue79, I now know this is RIptide from Youngblood. FREE
  10. Friendly Dictators cards, with art by Bill Sienkiewicz. It is an awesome card set. I bought it because I owned the original art from one of the cards. But I sold off that art years ago, so I guess I no longer need the cards. CLAIMED by MyTasteBud
  11. Vertigo chase cards. They were in a box that also had a Marvin Martian lollipop. Over the years, Marvin bled some sugary ooze onto the cards.
  12. Two Batman Happy Meal toys. CLAIMED Gambit (listed as one lot, so when you claim you get both of them.)
  13. Who Is Stan Lee paperback. From back in the days when the appropriate verb was “is”, and not “was”. Claimed by ECDC
