  1. So I've read here that CGC will accept posters for grading provided that they "must fit within the following dimensions: 22.5" wide x 29.5" high" (see here). However the language used in the description of what's acceptable seems to restrict the types of posters to those originating "from five of the most highly coveted vintage poster series, including Bill Graham, Family Dog, Grande Ballroom, Neon Rose and Vulcan Gas Company, as well as posters featured in the Art of Rock" and for modern posters those originating via "Bill Graham Presents, New Fillmore and MoonAlice" (see here). Will CGC accept 11x17 film or tv posters signed by celebrities?
  2. Looks like a perfect candidate for re-holdering to me! And you could get the new x-men label ;)
  3. Allison, I've been wondering the same thing as Rick! Thoughts??
  4. Well given that CGC is now offering both grading and signature authentication of Cards (as of 7/15/24), and they've already been offering this service for comics, I'd like to know when magazines will be next!?! Of course I know that grading is being offered, as I have many submissions already for that service. But if I crack my graded magazines open and get them signed, currently there's no option to have them authenticated through the JSA service.
  5. Well jimjum12 you're right there IS a "magazine forum" - for comic magazines. Many other types exist (as Darwination has cogently pointed out) and are worthy of a dedicated location.I'm simply suggesting that the CGC Boards being some logic to its organizational hierarchy but its clearly a new area that's slowly evolving as a collectible. That said, Sports Illustrated is increasingly growing as a collectible magazine, and I myself have started collecting many Special Editions of both Rolling Stone and Time for JSA/CGC signatures by famous people (as a former Film Professor at Cal State, I got connections so figured I might as well use them, lol). No pitchforks, just my $0.02 worth! Thanks CGC Mike for considering my suggestion!! ;)
  6. I'm of the opinion that now that CGC has begun grading magazines, shouldn't this subject merit its own Forum, rather than relegated to a discussion thread among many others (in a Forum under "Comics" no less, lol) ??
