hit this up when you get ur comics!

I've just worked out a deal to join the elusive TMNT #1 1st print club! Details at a later date but being a proud owner of TMNT #1-3 all 1st prints I started toying with the idea of completing the first eleven issues. Issues #1-11, the various one shots and any variant covers/editions. However this thread is old enough that many of the pictures that would have helped with my research are no longer available. Is there another website that list things like print runs and covers shots of the first eleven issues and all the variants?
  2. the lesson learned:

protect yourself with rubber and plastic = condom and cgc graded.

I get your point completely DJB. However, I got stuck with a counterfeit, paid WAY too much for it, thinking it was the real thing, and realized a few years later what happened.

I guess it's sort of like getting a horrible sexually transmitted disease (what to do with it?). Or, it could be compared to getting bad plastic surgery.

Now that I have one, and am stuck with it, I would rather have one in better condition, to make me feel better.

Other than that, I wouldn't give a rat'sass about that book.

  3. Once Overstreet finally put a price on them its going to be a wrap. Its going to be like holding onto food and water in a world wide drought.

I like TMNT #1 as much as the next guy (probably more), but I HIGHLY doubt that Overstreet listing a guide price for the issue will affect sales one way or the other.

The book is listed in open auction formats all the time to help give it a market value at any given point. I'd say a movie/new TV series would cause more issues to fly off the shelves than anything. My 2c

    +1

Overstreet guide prices and any other guide prices have no affect on comic values.

Actual sales is the only real way to get an idea of the value.

And even then it all depends on how much the buyer is willing to pay and how much that seller is willing to take.

  4. congrats!

I took the plunge and bought it in this auction here below on ebay. I didn't want to give up my source before hand because I knew someone would grab it before I did today. I paid $949.99 for the four comics listed below. Let me know if it still a deal or the biggest mistake of the century.
