I still think a 9.8 copy of IH 181 should only be worth $50k tops

When will sets that were sold…And you know they were sold…because you did stories about the sale…be moved to a “Hall of Fame” area.
These sets are no longer active.
Alfred Pennyworth Batman 1-100 was sold by Heritage and the story was on the CGC site.So too was his Detective #27-#200 set among several others.
There's a problem with that however, as many of his books will likely be registered by the new owners.
A book, as you know, cannot be registered to 2 parties simultaneously

Let me start off by saying this:
Registry scores do not equate to market dollars.
I agree that registry points should not be determined solely by the price of a book, BUT price and registry points may be driven by many of the same factors, including demand and scarcity. In the end, both price and points are trying to measure the "worth" of a book, so while registry scores should not equate to market dollars, they are probably highly correlated to market dollars.
Completely agree.

Wasn't it ComicConnect that sold "The Tailor to Stan Lee"s collection? Mr Parsow did quite well on that

"almost everyone is a dealer these days,"
"dealer" to me is the guy that sets up at shows, has a store, buys collections large and small, holds inventory... etc.
everyone else I consider flippers or "wannabee dealers", they adopt the title but that's all they have and are.

Charlie Shieh aka comicmylars, notoriously overprices his books ( most are flips from past purchases )
He doesn't need money nor is he in a rush to sell anything, that's why some of his inventory sits on ebay for years. He also often shows a dipsh1t attitude towards potential buyers, as was the case with the OP yet again.
Either pay his (often ridiculous) price or better yet search for another copy somewhere else...

"One of the rarest comic books in the entire world."
Yes, absolutely. AF15 is so rare, that you will never have more than 30-40 different copies to choose from at any given time.

Anyone aware of a high grade copy of this book anywhere on the planet? I believe the highest graded is an 8.0, then a 7.0. But my guess is one or more of the forever raw collections out there has a minty copy

28 not in blue
your copy would it be a blue label in that grade would easily be an 80k book

@Dark Knightone last curiosity about the Tec 33...
it sold for $27,805 in 2019 as a 3.0, it sold for $27,250 again in 2019 (EoY) this time as a 3.5 -> both times ComicLink
it then sold on ComicConnect in 2020 (EoY) for $27,000
So you are correct, 3 times in last 2-3 years.

Yeah and the Tec 33 has been around the block a couple of times. I believe it sold twice before within the last 2-3 years? I passed on it due to the name pen writing (I'm very picky). Still a great book to have.
Correct. Same.
also the book used to be a 3.0

Yes, I traded it to @Straw-Man for a Marvel Mystery 9. Then @MrBedrock ended up with it. Somewhere in transit it made it into a 5.0 label 🏷
Any idea who owns it now ? At 5.0, it is the perfect grade for me.
