  1. Wasn't it listed on ComicLink not too long ago for 750K ? No takers.
  2. In discussion I hear of owners wanting to trading up right now or non-owners wanting to buy into the lower grades. It seems the general consensus is the 3.5 and down will be the next strata to lift. If I had a 5.5Q I would try to move it in order to get a nice 3.5. I don't have either so I'd be perfectly happy with a bag/board one use to be in just to take and smell every once in awhile. So the fact that earlier this year, at auction (fmv's true determinant), it ended at around 13K and a few months later has a 20K price tag is perfectly healthy and normal. Next guy to buy it will be wanting at least 25K for it. And the next 30. And all this will probably happen before the year comes to an end. Awesome.
  3. Seems that some of these books keep bouncing around. The 5.5Q belonged to a boardie (who I think bought it off ebay), was offered here but then sold at auction on CC earlier this year and now is back up for sale. Don't people hold on to their books !? Sheesh. Flip till you drop seems to be the motto.

  5. Louisiana and yes the time spent was in New Orleans.
  6. Dig the list but yeah, missing Pep22 p.s. That would make a terrific WTB list
  7. I just came back from my first (but certainly not last) USA Road Trip. We did FL, TN, LA and TX. TX we spent most of the time in Austin although we visited Houston, Gruene and San Antonio. Love Texas ! Hot hot hot ! and LOVE Texan meat ! Best BBQs ever.
  8. SA = Silver Age comics (books from 50s to late 60s) GA = Golden Age comics (books from late 30s to early 50s) BA = Bronze Age comics (books from 70s ...) etc ... I've been in Paris almost 5 yrs now.
  9. wwcomics seems to list quite a few of your genre from time to time http://www.wwcomics.com/comic_search_results.asp?txtsearchParamType=ANY&prodnameplural=rawhide&issue=Issue+%23
  10. No chance as I sold it to a friend of mine when I left SA behind. Here it is: https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/ComicView.aspx?PeopleSetComicID=639253 I sold my buddy several of my books to help him build that #1 set.
  11. GAtor I believe is the only dealer so far to have given account of his private sales of cap1 and bats1. I would consider that data equally reliable, perhaps even more so as GPA has an unfortunate track record of dubious manipulation.
  12. Just saying that for entry level and restored cap1 gives bats1 a run for its money. Not so much for higher grade copies.
  13. and there you have it, from one of the guys that probably sells more cap1 and bats1 than any other.
  14. Are you sure that Bats 1 sale actually went through? It isn't being reported to GPA, while the Cap 1 sale is. Don't think my Tec 33 was reported to GPA either (at least not for a long while) yet I have it in hand.
  15. Every reference made was to entry level and restored copies. When it comes to the mid to high grade universal copies there is no contest.
  16. 2016 (eons ago ... ) Cap 1 8.0 288K http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=650298 Bats 1 8.0 390K http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=682290 Discussion over.
  17. Do you have those stats ? Are they GPA only ? Do you have data from GAtor, Filter et al ? Let's go beyond entry level/restored copies with this discussion.
  18. IIRC there was a ComicConnect auction last year with universal copies of Bats1 and Cap1 with close enough grades (Bats having the lower grade ) that ended with Bats trumping Cap. Trying to dig up auction results. It was commented in Gold.
