  1. Congrats on your acquisitions and look forward to hear of new ones.
  2. Wow ! Great copy. Thanks for the scan Harold.
  3. Do you know if the AA16 was eventually slabbed and if so what grade did it receive ? Metro has a raw "8.5" with cover cleaned. Saw it today. Nice but dunno about the "8.5" though. The AA20 has a Tec 37 "look" to it
  4. Awesome pic ! Still you have that gorgeous GL1.
  5. Back cover missing only. Auctioned off on Heritage. The most beautiful 0.5 in the history of 0.5s.
  6. I am certainly not a dealer nor am I an ASM fan. I am selling undercopies on behalf of a friend. His prices, not mine. I have no clue what ASMs go for. The only Spiderman book I occasionally follow out of curiosity is AF15. When someone makes an offer I relay it back to him. He either accepts or not. The books that have already sold all had offers accepted.
  7. We are testing the beta version now internally and hope to have the scoring update live very soon.
  8. Funny, as a "lot" of dealers (+auction houses) don't and/or are selective about it. Ebay is a joke, ripe with all sorts of shenanigans. Most of its ongoings shouldn't even be accepted by GPA. For every fake report caught, 5 probably slip by.
  9. No, it would not. Not in its true form. If I take a same copy in grade and appearance as the one you sold and sell it for 10K less than you did, would I establish FMV ? But as you have good material and a solid based clientele, they likely prefer a direct approach over taking their chances at auction.
  10. http://www.wwcomics.com/comicdetail.asp?Product_ID=MysteryMenComics_6_45154 http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=713151 I guess WorldWide must think that the (just ended) auction hammer price wasn't truly reflective of FMV and has adjusted accordingly. I guess it's symptomatic of some dealers.
  11. Good Lord ! Is that copy unrestored !?
  12. Hello Jon, lou_fine showed me some pics taken of your books in a PM thread (prior to the start of the CC auction) and I noticed one with a Detective 38. I am happy to have won your copy of Detective 29. As I did not see the 38 go to auction, was wondering if you kept it or if it eventually will go to auction at a later stage. Thank you. - Peter
  13. He doesn't even know ... yet But yeah, that's impressive. I sent him an email.
  14. Still can't top beating a friend with 3 wins in 3 different categories all in one shot.
  15. Holy cow ! My friend Mark won 3 awards ( 1 for Silver, 1 for Bronze and 1 for Copper ) all in one shot.
  16. Wow, take a look at this 1.5 http://comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fdefault.asp%3FFocused%3D1%23Item_1190732&id=1190732
  17. It's okay, Jon. Most of us ignore GAtor's PMs as well.
  18. add a few more and you'll get "eBay is a fraud"
  19. Lone 9.8 you mean. Board member sartre owns a 9.4 copy.
  20. A 1.0 ( although with some tape iirc) sold for 30K on ebay not too long ago. Can anyone check if it was reported to GPA ? Not sure CC copy will surpass its previous result. Edit: ebay 1.0 same copy referenced by Dean The 2.0 brittle is up on Bob Storms' site with a 39K price tag.
