  1. If I had 155k to spend on comics I wouldn't pick either. But playing along I'd pick Pep 22.
  2. Andrew is as solid as they come. Enjoy your Tec 42 ! Here's hoping I'll be sending a 41 your way some day
  3. Tec 38, but I'm biased. Would love to own a Supes 1 but I'd rather a nice looking slight or mod restored copy.
  4. MF 52 for me. Would sell quicker. Buy more Tecs.
  5. You mean best known copy of AF15 among boardies ? Hands down. If you mean most expensive comic, no chance. sartre owns a Captain America 1 CGC 9.4 (easily a 700k book) For an existentialist he has some amazing books. Not sure. sartre's collection is redic. I do believe he owns a JIM 83 9.4. The ones that stuck in my mind are the ASM 3 9.6 and his Cap 3 9.4 Allentown if my memory serves me correctly. Still, the only one that trumps Barton's AF15 in value is the Cap 1. JIM 83 would be a close runner up.

  8. That seems... optimistic. Sales in 2015 put 37 at over 5k/point 7.5 @ 38k Heritage - Aug 2015 6.5 @ 32k CC - 32k - Dec 2015 also sold in 2015 5.5 EP ® @ 3.2k - Heritage
  9. Here's a 1.8 being offered on ebay @ 9.9k http://www.ebay.com/itm/141860106091?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  10. The first 9.6 was over a million, the second wasn't... and the third even less ... I've had two different offers for my 9.2 that make me think this book will get a very respectable price. Barton, I'd take your copy over the Heritage copy any day. Plus it's old label goodness.
  11. Colorado Comics has been tight-lipped about their purchase other than to confirm was well below the million dollar mark. (private sale) My guess would be circa 750k.
  12. The first 9.6 was over a million, the second wasn't... and the third even less ...
  13. If cc is willing to pay that much for 9.4 Except that what you likely missed is IF the copy looks like, say the White Mountain copy ... not like the Heritage copy.
  14. pfft ! Would have preferred to see a 9.8 show up for auction. It is a great book to watch being auctioned off for sure but a somewhat weak 9.4 IMO, but a 9.4 nonetheless. $410-430k for this 9.4
  15. Wow, that's a strong price. Indeed! I was counter-offered less when I threw in my offer weeks back. Would be interesting to see if this trend continues for mid to low graded copies. I hope not yet until I get a copy I'm also suspect of that price as I was also offered the book for much less weeks ago when it first showed up on eBay. Clearly I wasn't the only one so I highly doubt someone paid full price. Yes, I understand that's what shows up on watchcount, etc, but still... eBay ... feeding "reliable" data to GPA for years.
