  1. pfft ! Would have preferred to see a 9.8 show up for auction. It is a great book to watch being auctioned off for sure but a somewhat weak 9.4 IMO, but a 9.4 nonetheless. $410-430k for this 9.4
  2. Wow, that's a strong price. Indeed! I was counter-offered less when I threw in my offer weeks back. Would be interesting to see if this trend continues for mid to low graded copies. I hope not yet until I get a copy I'm also suspect of that price as I was also offered the book for much less weeks ago when it first showed up on eBay. Clearly I wasn't the only one so I highly doubt someone paid full price. Yes, I understand that's what shows up on watchcount, etc, but still... eBay ... feeding "reliable" data to GPA for years.
  3. Missed that. Seems like a strong price, particularly since the other guys had a 6.5 go for $20K recently. I'd like to know which seller submitted that info to GPA. Unfortunately it's subject to all kinds of shenanigans. Just ask miffybunny (among others).
  4. Amsterdam represent ! Way to go Elmer
  5. That's true it could actually be a restored copy. Won't know until they post the pic and update the listing accordingly. -J. Universal copy.

  7. Fun book And I think it is amazing that our own StrawMan (Billy Parker) wrote it and is still with us. Man he is getting old
  8. as per GAtor, no to collecting and no to selling, except for a few undercopies ( of which I own one )
  9. Probably should have kept my San Francisco 9.6 copy! EJR Wow
  10. Last I know, Eric Roberts, the son of the billionaire owned it and he was showing it off on his website along with his other incredible books but I don't know what happened to it. I wish Eric Robert's website was still up and running. He has some beautiful books. +1 Found out about him too late Never got a chance to visit the site.
  11. Yes, the 9.8 sale was the first 9.8 to show up. Just wanted to point out that GPA doesn't have all the data, as we all know.
  12. Still a killer 9.8 you got there. Definitely a keeper !
  13. Not a bad looking 9.8 ! Schmell has auctioned off several super sharp copies with perfect registration and centering ( even by square-bound standards) From his past listings this copy isn't bad (even with the OWW pages), though he has had a couple that absolutely killed it.
  14. Good for the consigner. Looks like these sales will raise prices on any copies 9.0 and up. Never thought this book would ever achieve 1/10th of these prices. Do you guys think this is a real sale? Confirmed sale. Luke cage is on fire ! I regret having sold my 9.6 copy many moons ago. That said, the copy in the November CLink auction just went for $3,800. Eh, it may say 9.6 on the label, but it's not any better looking (and might be even less nice) than the 9.4 copy I posted above. Agreed. The 10K 9.6 sale is still perplexing. Perhaps the buyer thinks it is improvable to a 9.8. Even so, nothing on GPA to support a 9.8 @ 10K, much less a 9.6. Perhaps some dealers that don't report sales to GPA can weigh in. Paging Mr. Storms....... If ComicLink would only report to GPA. Not only would you find this 9.6 sale but you'd also find a 9.8@15k a few years back. BIN was hit less than an hour after it was listed if I recall. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3902011
  15. Yes, I was! I'm over the moon about this one. Congrats Jeff. She sure is purdy.
