  1. I agree, as we are not in the marketplace and selling them, that’s why I said "let’s see what the moderators think". not only are they not being sold, they are not even being discussed. the only thing I see is a golden age book that is proudly being exhibited by its owner.
  2. golden age books are being showcased here, not cgc or whatever labels. I think it's plain silly to have to crop a pic because of that.
  3. If I have in inv the books you want I can practically guarantee it
  4. this needs to be cleared up. if Ricky did indeed fall through on the CC purchase, it's a move. If it was CC that cancelled on account of their auction issues, then the witch hunt needs to be called off. personally I find it odd that the book is put on sale, thread closed when the cat is out of the bag, then reopened only to finally be closed again.
  5. Dear GAtor, please sell me 3 books in 2015
  6. You should have listened to me about 30 pages ago Dave 2-3 years from now you'll manage a 9.8 for 1K or less.
  7. that 102 is looking like an easy 9.6 with a shot at 9.8. congrats.
  8. I would be thrilled to own a Larson Tec...
  9. I thought you were going to buy that one Peter and get Kenny to replace the staple. Yeah but that would make it purple. No ? Have 0 issues with a purple 32 but not at a 10k price tag.
  10. I wanted the tec 32 but the top staple looks completely rusted.
  11. The ebay seller had no idea of the book's worth. She had the initial reserve set to $500. Yes, I also noticed that the issue number was not in the item title. Wish I had seen it when it was originally on eBay - might have taken a shot at it (though there was obviously some risk on the buying end, too). I would have bid on it yesterday if the price was more reasonable. I currently have bigger fish to fry (and hopefully post here in the not-too-distant future), so don't want to go overboard setting record prices for books that are currently of a lower priority on the wish list. I was the 0 feedback bidder. I had to break off from the auction early on account of a trip to Brussels.

  13. dont you mean a dry environment Bob ? No, I think the rust is from a humid environment, am I wrong ? I was referring to the humid environment and WP. Pretty sure they don't get along.
  14. I am no longer a member of this club ( been a long while now ) Used to own GSX 9.8, X94 in 9.6 and 9.8 Maybe I'll buy them again someday ..
  15. same happened to me. can't live with a book with rusty staples ( even minimal rust) It's the first thing I check for when I receive a book in hand.
  16. Haven't seen any (yet!) Conserved labels with staple treatment. Have seen quite a few restored labels with "staples cleaned" and "staples replaced" notation. For GA, if the staples replaced are from the same era, they usually get a pass.
