I'm hoping the person I purchased this comic from don't see this, but I would have paid another $1500 for the comic and sent it directly to CGC . Seriously if I'm into a comic low enough BOOM auction (qty/more comics sold) that in the ends meets are exceeds maximizing profit ie grading but for me that all depends how much Into it I am
I am betting my immediate offer and not the usual trying to trade with me getting a 30% kicker I try to get would have tipped my hand But then again I am not sure if we traded before so maybe not
I would really hate to tip my hat, but this aint a sales pitch, this is my opinion, my
prospective, that's how I feel about his copy.

So when he said he could cancel his ebay sale and send the book back to me as he was "worried something was wrong with the lower left spine", take a look side by side from when I posted the book and later after he touched up the spine slightly and posted it on ebay. Looks like he added micro color touch to minimize the lower 3 spine ticks. So he wanted to make slightly more than his ebay sale by instead returning the book to me, stick me with a now slightly restored book in place of my unrestored book I sent him and when I gave him push back on the return unless he sent it to CGC and once I requested scans to prove he didn't tamper with the book, he ghosted me and followed through with the ebay sale getting good feedback from a unsuspecting buyer that will someday find out it now has slight color touch when they send it into CGC. Being mad at me, he is still pushing this fraud paypal dispute to try and get $2,425 back from me, which if they rule in his favor will probably get me an empty box in the mail while stealing my money ($2,425)!

I think this is HOS worthy. He has a PP claim for an item that he can't return.
He can't claim that he felt the book was restored or not fairly represented, because he guaranteed the book was unrestored in his auction... he also graded the book much higher at his auction and bragged about getting one over on the person he bought it from.
This seems pretty indefensible to me.
Not only this but he would not send me new scans and stopped communicating with me when I requested them! Look at the lower left spine compared to my scan, it sure looks like he tried to color touch 3 of the lower spine ticks! That is why he told me he was worried it may be restored in the lower left, he did it himself!

I would like to report fraud/deceit from a board member that purchased a book from me 2 months ago for $2,425. Werewolf by Night 32 raw 7.5 which he agreed looked better than described which was why he purchased it to get it graded and make a sizable margin due to my discount for being raw from an original owner collection I had just purchased. He was happy with the book, but nearly 2 month later after JUST BARELY unsuccessfully trying to sell it on ebay (per his own words below) still raw and needing cash to take care of other people (see his own words below), tried to pull a bogus paypal dispute saying first he wan't sure if/when he got it, then later it was materially not as described. That was a first for me as he was happy with the book for the PRIOR 2 months and I told him per my listing that I only take books back 14 days unconditionally even due to change of heart etc, although after being requested by him, I agreed I would guarantee it would come back unrestored by CGC which he at first accepted and would ASAP remove the bogus paypal dispute claim and send in for grading. However, then he decided he would break that promise to remove the fake paypal complaint and and rather go the bogus paypal dispute route to try and swindle me and keep a $2,425 book AND also get reimbursed by paypal with all my now held funds from this unfounded and bogus not as described paypal dispute. My funds are now being held by paypal while they do their research, I have now given them the tracking and all communication so hopefully they realize how dishonest this guy is. You are welcome to read all our communication back and forth between me and mdean2437 below as these highlights sum it up best. (note, this guy even bought several more sizable books from me as recent as a couple weeks ago and still never mentioned any issues with the WWBN 32 from 2 months ago until it suited him and he needed the cash!) First he just started out he wanted to return the book, then when I said that time past, it morphed into there might be something wrong with it, worried about restoration due to some other books he got hurt on when submitting to CGC. We both agreed he could send it to CGC and I would guarantee no restoration. However, as soon as I asked for new scans of the book to make sure the book had not been damaged or tampered with before being sent to CGC/third party, he ghosted me, never responded and advanced his paypal claim to the next level in hopes I would keep giving him more time to cancel his bogus paypal dispute so they could rule in his favor before I uploaded all my evidence. RED FLAGS!

Are you certain this is unrestored. I have been stating at what has turned out to be a rash if books anyway the lower left something is off. I would like to return this book if possible

(multiple times having guaranteed I would take a return if it ever came back restored as I know for sure it was not unless he tampers with it)

For him to release his bogus dishonest paypal dispute, I said I would be happy to guarantee it was unrestored as verified by CGC or other 3rd party, but also asked he send me a new scan to make sure it had not been damaged or tampered with since he received it, that was the last time I have heard from him on multiple attempts (RED FLAGS!) and he has since elevated his paypal dispute so it appears he never intended to remove his false paypal claim and send into CGC like he had promised me multiple times on the CGC boards PM and personal emails.
Book is from an original owner collection stored in the retail storefront dealers basement since the early 80s. The book is not restored and the buyer had zero problems with it until I said the time for change of heart returns were past at the 14 day mark, not the 2 month mark, then suddenly its not as described as he wants to back out now with an abusive and bogus paypal claim after already telling me he just needed the money and it was just barely for sale on ebay and he was going to take down to return to me! Any collector with some experience collecting big books like this can look at this book and tell there are no signs of restoration, what a freaking liar to make this up for a paypal dispute nearly 2 months later as he now needs the money and after not getting the money he wanted out of it in an ebay auction!

X-Men 12 1st Juggernaut! 3.0 range, complete, attached, NO TAPE, solid page quality, has some writing on the back with typical wear and tear for grade with two very light water stains on both upper corners of back cover, the scans show the condition well. Average 90 day $823 but the most Recent sale was $1,000! My Price just $775 ($225 Below most recent sale price).
X-Men #94 Strong 5.0 to 5.5. Light spine wear, tiny partial tear near upper staple, very light corner crease is probably all that keeps this from VF range! Average 5.0 last year was $851, most recent sale $760, 5.5 average $958 with most recent $765. Board price just $695 which is Over $150 and $250 below 5.0/5.5 2021 average prices!

Amazing Spiderman #6 1st Lizard, Shows as a solid FN range, Solid book well attached, tight, nice pages, attractive mid range with typical FN range defects like light wear on the spine, extremely small and light lower corner bend just barely starting to break to color, some marvel chipping, but from what I have seen, CGC does not really discount the grades for that inherent Marvel flaw until you get above the 7.0 grades (unless its extensive). 90 day FN GPA is $2,686. Board Price $2,286 exactly $400 or about 20% BELOW going GPA market prices! (, I missed the back cover scan, ill get it when I get home tonight, but its NICE!)
Amazing Spiderman #41 1st Rhino, CGC 3.5 WHITE PAGES! Most recent GPA $500 and the GPA prices have been trending up way across the board with most recent sales setting the records, so that is probably the most accurate market price, plus this one has WHITE PAGES! Do a quick search on ebay to see how much more they are asking for these in this range! Board Price $445!
Amazing Spiderman #41 FN range, tight, bright and sharp, not even a corner crease to be seen as you would expect even in a 7.0 copy! Light stress line down spine, so I will be conservative and say its probably closest to the FN grade range +/- but with many nicer qualities. See the scan can help you determine. 90 day 6.0 GPA is $855 with most recent sale of $995! Board Price just $725.

He came at me with two completely different PM threads on different days like he was two different buyers asking about it, I even told him it was already sold on the later follow up threads where he was still inquiring about it, so that threw me off when two months later he responded to me from that thread where I had stated it was already sold, but I think it was the same account.
