  1. Kermit,

raw you can get them for less than $10 on ebay - though it depends completely on how the seller markets them - try searching on "A1" (in comics) rather than "Miracleman" - there's some for sale now in the ebay stores

    a signed one sold here

    ebay

Additionally, Mile High still have some in stock last time I looked at cover price

  3. Hi everyone, I posted this book in the grading forum and got some positive responses as far as the grade goes. I don't think many people actually visit that forum (if I'm wrong, let me know) and haven't seen my previous post. I recieved the book last friday from eBay seller jalva75 and spent the last week restoring it myself, putting in roughly 10-12 hours. Tape had to be removed from the length of the spine, a spine split sealed, small pieces added, reinforcement, and color touched. As you can see, there was a missing piece to the bottom right corner that had to be recreated and color matched (the yellows look slightly off in the scan, but in reality are nearly perfectly matched). There were a few spots, namely the top edge, that had to be color touched. Also, the majority of the wraps were completely split at the spine, with the rest split half way. Each had to be sealed and reinforced. I couldn't have been happier with how the book turned out. Below is a before and after shot of the new centerpiece of my collection, as well as a link to my previous post in the grading forum with much larger scans of the front cover as well as the back.

  5. this title/series is already labeled as a "classic/must have one" and therefore will keep on a high note for some time...and even if there are some reprintings in the near future i doubt that it will bring the price down (there's always a lot of people looking for this stories).

    regards

  6. Kudos to Pedro for purchasing a LARGE lot of Silver Age ASM and FFs from me. He paid very promptly and I'd GLADLY do biz with him again, anytime.

  7. i think i (and my young brother) started having comics around the house even before being able to read them. Anyway, when i was around 12 years old i already had a very nice (no, gorgeous) collection (the comics were in fact brazilian translations that i bought every week in Portugal). I think i bought at tops around 2 comics per week, and at that time it was really hard to keep up at having all of them (usually one comic included 3 or 4 stories).

Anyway, the fever of the computers and video games hit us really bad and one day i decided to sell little by little my collection at a market flee...

I arrive with my very hard earned collection (around 200 comics, it was huge for a kid) and a nearby seller of junk proposes me to buy everything...at a crazy low price of around 20$ (0.5 cents per comic, when each one costed 0.50cents).

i still resent that foolish commodore 64 fever...!!! but that also brought me some great moments playing video games, so...nothing is lost, things just change.

but my "new/original" comics collection is a dream come true to me...

    regards
