  1. Roger that @dick pontoon, likewise thank you very much for the guidance, I appreciate it!
  2. Thanks @revat for the informative reply, I appreciate...and I'm sure to have more questions!
  3. I hope it's OK to ask a noob question or two now that I got my noob intro out of the way! I'm getting ready to submit my first batch of 25 books to CGC. I started going through the process and wanted to use what I think is a "high value" comic as an example. I have Invincible #1 (Image). We'll call it a 9.4 raw for argument's sake which CPG would currently value at $1350. It's a modern age book but when submitting it for grading would I choose modern, high value or unlimited value...? I don't want to sell myself short...and I don't want to pay more than I have to in order to get it graded either. I have a LOT of books that are bagged with trading cards, etc. and understand that when sending them out they should be taken out of their polybag and any cards, etc. removed prior, correct? I also have several comics that are signed and numbered as an "X of XXXX" and have a so-called certificate of authenticity with them. Should I send those in complete with the certificate? I also saw where CGC used to sell shipping kits to securely package your stuff to send to them, but when I click on the link it's dead? Is that no longer available? https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/8035/cgc-shipping-kits/ Thanks in advance for the help/guidance, I appreciate it!
  4. Been lurking a while and finally decided to join, mainly because I'm fixing on selling the entirety of my collection and will definitely need to get some of my stuff graded/slabbed and have tons of questions and need to do even more research. Haven't actively collected anything for quite some time, and the majority of it happened 30-40 years ago, including a brief stint as a part time comic shop employee who was paid in comics. My collection (which is just under 1400 issues) is ALL over the place; I collected stuff I obviously liked, thought was interesting and especially keyed in on crossovers, first appearances, holograms, etc. Went all in when Spawn came out (like everyone else back in the day), and would frequently grab multi-packs at the local pharmacy just to see if I ended up with something cool... I spent the last few weeks trying to catalog my entire collection over on https://comicspriceguide.com/ where my user name is the same (no space) and the same avatar and getting ready to list everything for sale there, here and eBay. Hoping that some folks will find parts of my collection to complete theirs and get as much fun and enjoyment out of it as I did back in the day.
