5,5!!!! But with "Slightly Brittle pages"

4.0 it is.

Sent this in for grading and got a 4.0. Not bad. Bandits Boobs will forever be encased in plastic never to be seen again.

I sent 6 of these in.... 3 got 9.6 and 3 got 9.8.

I find the actual cover to be pretty ugly. I'm a Dave Stevens fan, I want to see the ad not the ugly cover. The comic is nearly worthless so I may just remove the wrap, or...... just keep it in mylar.

Thanks Matt. One more question: What if I disassemble the comic and ONLY send in the wrap with the signature. Can have it oriented to the front of the slab?

Well, here's the answer to this query from CGC. "Our graders have confirmed we would not be able to encapsulate the book like this. The cover would be folded back to the front for encapsulation to prevent damage to the book in our holders. Additionally as for the label information/designation, we would note something to the effect of "Name and inscription on Page _ in Pen". While this still would be considered a blue label we would not be able to note the signer's name on the label. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

I picked up 3 signed Dave Stevens comics. Pretty cool.

By the way, does anyone know who "Bill" is and why Dave would be thanking him?

Hi CGC I bought this complete copy of Starslayer 1 that has the 1st appearance (in an Advertisement) of Rocketeer 1. It's signed by Dave Stevens and neatly folded back upon itself to the Ad page. So the comic is kind of "inside out". I was thinking of sending it in for slabbing just like this. I DON'T want CGC to fold it back to the actual cover. I want the Ad page with the signature to the front of the slab like it is right now. Now, I realize it won't get a SS label (since it's an unwitnessed sig), and I also realize it will get a low grade since the comic will be inside out, but..... it's the way I want it in the slab. Perhaps with the note "Thanks Bill..... Dave Stevens 89" on the label.

I just sold a lot of 5 NM for $66 on ebay. I paid $1 each for them. I'm feeling pretty good. I've got about 30 more of them. I'll list another 5 tomorrow. Now.... what do I do with the 100 Alpha Flight 1s I have?

I went over today and picked up the final boxes from this collection. I'm really excited to fully process these books. I've already sent 80 of them in to CGC for slabbing (some of these are SUPER high grade..... 9.6-9.8s?). I believe it was 38 long boxes in total. Plus 4 regular large boxes that had stacks of misc comics within that I didn't even look thru (although when I got home I just saw 2 copies of Thor 337 within). He gave me the last 4 regular boxes for $25 each. I finished packing up the back of my pickup and as I was getting in to drive off the guy stopped me and said he remembered one more thing..... he ran into his house and brought out a small stack of magazines...... Which turned out to be THESE!!! He said he'd give them to me for free if I wanted them. Um..... yeah!

Picked this up in a collection I bought recently. For whatever reason my front cover photo looks wonky.... the book is actually squared up nicely. It's not perfect but looks pretty decent. There's a spot on the back cover in the lower left that looks like a stain but it doesn't go thru to the inside cover. Foxing?

Holy mother of God! I bought mine for $31. I figured it might be worth around $100 - $200, but $800??? I'm going to have to consider letting it go.
