  1. Congrats and welcome to the club! Very nice copy with white PQ and a well-centered cover. I've seen so many JIM 83's out there with the cover's right edge cut short, even affecting as far as the "MC" box, let alone the Comics Code stamp. And those were all legit printing defects! this is a pretty nice copy my 5.5 is cut short on the right edge due to a miswrap. While i wouldn't go so far as to say this looks nicer than my book due to the creasing but having a nice wrap and the number block fully intact enhances the presentation for sure. Yes. The right-edge cut is certainly due to miswraps to varying degrees. I notice that one can never get the full 100% artwork of the cover without compromising a bit of either the right or left edge. This 4.5 copy's wrap is perhaps as best as you could possibly get.

  3. +1 Gotta love the white pagers +2 Congrats to all the new members of the club. I'm really looking forward to seeing Thor:The Dark World this November. Loving those trailers so far. Can't wait.....
  4. Awesome books! Especially that JIM#83 in 9.4 OW/W !!! (worship) BTW, are there still only three 9.4's (blue Universal) on the CGC census ?
  5. Thanks guys. This is a 7.0-ish looking book that is super flat and appears to have been hardly read, if at all, but likely not handled properly as evidenced by a small missing triangle on the bottom corner back cover and a one-and-a-half-inch long vertical tear, also on the back cover. The white pages sealed the deal for me. Happy to be a co-member of Club JIM83! it is a sweet copy for sure (thumbs u A Cane shouldn't ever thank a Gator, but a tip of my hat and "thanks" to G.A.tor for getting me into Club JIM83. Yep. Even though I've owned a raw 4.5 copy since 1998, I've been wanting to get an upgrade for quite some time. Just last year, G.A.tor helped me to acquire the best possible JIM#83 that I could afford (CGC blue 6.5 OW on page 17 of this thread). Ever since then .......
  6. Currently at $147K, ending tonight. I'm guessing it will end at $175K? You're very close. It sold for $171K.
  7. Agreed. Sweet looking copy! White pages too! Congrats!
  8. ........ ........ ......... Unless I'm mistaken, I believe there are only three blue 9.4's on the CGC census, and only one 9.6 (White Mountain pedigree) !!!
  9. Own both and no worries. That's my mindset. (thumbs u Same here. For that matter, just acquire all the major keys and you're covered on all fronts!
  10. A very impressive run of early Marvel Mystery books you have there. Congrats!
  11. Right you are! A great club to be in for sure! WTTC !
  12. ....... Two major keys to add! ....... What better way to open the 200th page of this thread?
