  1. I've met Steve Ditko a few times and I am almost sure he doesn't have a assistant. Chainnball and I spoke to him in person last year for almost a half an hour and he was very pleasant. Here's a sample of his hand writing from around 5 years ago. He wrote Robin Snyder's address right in front of me. Then I ordered these newsletters that Steve told me get since I was interested in his latest work. They go for $3 to $5 each and are about 4 to 5 pages long.
  2. Spidey #252 came out on Thursday Feb.2 1984. SSM #90 two weeks later. MTU on the last Thursday of the same month.
  3. Here are a couple of books that I got Jackman to signed in NYC. Too bad there long gone.
  4. Sounds good to me For All of Shame? It was $15, right? 5 years ago? And he's had no problems with anyone since? I'd say maybe that was probation-worthy if it'd been brought up at the time, but HoS five years later? Sounds like some serious overkill to me. I have to agree. Just let it go already.
  5. I tried to get Jones a while back when he was performing on Broadway. He was willing to sign, but he's handlers wouldn't allow him to.
  6. Congratulations to my fellow alumni from the class of 2002.
  7. My 28 year old daughter who never read a comic book in her life, asked me if I can get her a WD Tradeback on the cheap. BTW, she also works for AMC.
  8. I would say odds are 49,000 to 1 or 49,000 to 2 Maybe I should check my high grade vault.
  9. According to The Standard Catalog of Comic Books issue #34 had a Circ Statement of 301,459. Issue #35 CapCity Orders 49,300.
  10. Thanks for the info. (thumbs u How about Peter Hsu's Quadrant? I have issue #6 and the inside cover reads 5000 printed.
  11. amazing how a copper-age Marvel book - and of a (relatively) mainstream title - should be so rare.. did it have a particularly low print run? Yeah, it's pretty tough. There was a gap of nearly 7 year between issue #31 and #32...and then another 9 month gap for #33. Why Marvel decided to do this, when it hadn't been done with other Marvel books in years, is anyone's guess. They probably would have sold more if they'd just made it a "One Shot" #1. I just started reading this thread today, which book had the 7 year gap between issues?
  12. One of my favorite cover from that run. (thumbs u
  13. Isn't there a Hulk 340 out there somewhere with Stan, Hugh, Trimpe, McFarlane on it? Chandler and Kris Moore might have had one done....there's a long thread somewhere about it, I think....but don't hold me to it, I might be mistaken. Yes, there is a Hulk #340 that is signed by Hugh Jackman and others. But, like I said , this the only X-men book that is signed by him. There are also two more books signed by Jackman. A Marvel Comics Presents and Old Man Logan.
