Great book, lucky you! thanks, it took me some time to have the $$$ avaiable and a very nice comic/affordable price tag in sight... just couldn't pass the discount at russ's shop with this gorgeous puppy looking at me now i'm only missing 95 and i'll have a complete 94 and up x-men run...completing specially my cherish 94-142 run from the affordable grails i'm now down to my last three ones (Hulk 181, FF 48 and SSurfer 4) regards What about X-men #143?

Tom, I am not to sure about the 700,00 figure. I believe the Post only prints out about 450,000 copies a day or so. But regardless, I didn't mean to imply that 9.4 is HG. Certainly not for a modern book. I meant that it will be tough in HG 9.8 or better, which is the standard for modern books. Also remember this, although their were a significant number printed, it doesn't mean that most them survived. I saw most people in the subway that day just throwing them in the trash. Although, there were a few comic collectors and dealers that did hoard a bunch of copies.

If you look them over again, but this time very carefully, I am sure you'll see small defects (especially on the dark back cover) that CGC will down grade on a dime. I sent in 4 copies to be graded. I got back one 8.5 two 9.2's and one 9.4.

Tom, These were inserted inside copies of the NY Post back in early June. I went through a bunch of copies before I was able to find a few HG copies. About 90 % of the copies that I saw were banged up pretty bad.

Just back from Florida. Very tough in HG.
