I've been selling on the boardsΒ and onΒ eBayΒ for years. Click link for feedback.
Β
Β
Who can make purchases?
All are welcome except for those on the Probation or Hall of Shame Lists.
Β
Β trumps PM. PM Negotiations are not complete until either myself or the buyer confirm the sale in the thread.
Β
Payment Methods
Paypal preferred. I will be sending out Paypal invoices to all buyers and will be reaching out for buyers' paypal info at the end of the thread.
Β
Shipping
Everything will be shipped as securely as possible. For this reason, Priority Mail will be the default shipping option. FedEx may be used for large orders.
Β
Shipping Costs:
$12 for the 1st slab and $2 for each additional slab unless otherwise stated.
Β
International Shipping
Available, but it won't be cheap. Contact me for a quote. All International packages will be shipped Global Priority.
Β
Return Policy
No returns on slabs.

You need to consolidate your sales posts into one. Can't have separate threads for each group of items you're selling.

I think the thing is that you folks overlook, is that CGC is a small mom and pop operation and they can only do so much with the small amount of resources that they have.Β
Not sure this is true anymore. Didn't they recently get bought by a huge corporation with deep pockets?Β

Hey guysΒ
Here is a statement from leadership regarding ME's:
Mechanical Errors are prioritized by CGC and pulled from shipping as soon as they arrive. As a reminder, customers should write βMEβ on the sides of their box to expediate this process.
MEβs can cover a wide range of issues, and some take longer to process than others depending on the issue. When an ME order is opened, itβs logged into the system (along with the reason for the ME) and then transfers to a team that removes the comics from the holders. From there:
- Holder issues are transferred to encapsulation for reholdering, QC and shipping.
- Label issues are transferred to the research team who identifies and corrects any errors. Those orders are then transferred to encapsulation for reholdering, QC and shipping.
- Book issues are transferred to a team of graders who evaluates each comic in question. Once completed, they are transferred to encapsulation for reholdering, QC and shipping.
- Book issues that require CCS service are transferred to CCS, then back to the grading team for re-evaluation. Once completed they are transferred to encapsulation for reholder, QC and shipping.
The time required to complete an ME order takes longer with each subsequent step, so turnaround times on MEβs may vary widely from order to order. CGC prioritizes each of these steps to insure that the orders are returned to the customer as fast as possible.
Hi Mike,
I appreciate getting this information out to us, but unfortunately the processing of MEs as a "priority" doesn't seem to be happening in practice. For example, I had a ME sitting in receiving for 3 weeks before it was opened and entered and that only happened because I called about it. That same ME submission has been in "scheduled for grading" status for over 2 weeks. For the record, that particular ME submission had 2 damaged cases and 2 Signature Series books that had incorrect labels in regards to who signed them. Seems like both of those should be relatively quick fixes.
-
I had to call them on 11/15 regarding my ME delivered on 10/24. Customer service was very helpful and my submission showed up on my account a couple of hours later. No idea why it was sitting in Receiving for so long, but the issue did get resolved with a phone call.

Delivered 10/24 and still not entered. Anyone else still waiting?

When submitting a ME, we are instructed to write "ME" on the box so these can be prioritized. In practice, it does seem like the MEs are being willfully ignored in favor of "paying" submissions. This may or may not be actually true but that is certainly the perception right now.
Also good to remember that those us submitting MEs are ALSO paying customers for CGC's other services. So good customer service goes a long way.Β

Hello
We currently have a large amount of these submissions, and are doing the best that we can to accommodate everyone.Β CGC not profiting from ME submissions has nothing to do with TAT's.Β Β
Mike
Is it safe to assume QC is not being adequately performed? TATs go down, but MEs go up?
-
FWIW -- Mine were received 10/24 and still haven't been entered.

Thanks for the responses. It seems like there is a delay in getting these submissions entered. I was under the impression the ME were given priority, but I guess that's not the case.
