  1. "Now go out and hunt for the IDW: First 10 Years floppy. It has an isolated Locke & Key story, not yet collected anywhere. Collectors are gonna go gaga over it."

I'd like to buy this one not because I think it will ever be worth anything $$$ wise (not that I collect this series because of that reason but hey it does not hurt knowing you have something of value makes you feel good lol ) but because I think its quite the unique little book & one shot/off shot whatever you want to call it from the series ...

    Well anyway...

The next big Locke & Key book.

225.49 final hammer price on that book. No way i would have gone that high.

So I wonder what it is about IDW books that makes cgc grade them more strictly ... Just printed with better quality paper or what

So synch... wanna sell that book back to me for what you paid? lol

Unbelievable price. I almost fell off my chair this morning.

I guess somebody realllllly wanted it. ... that's too much for me as well... i wonder what the next one will go for ...

I can't imagine it will be a whole lot less. There were eight different bidders and 7 of those still want it. :)

*Sigh* ... I know your right.

  4. It's the black/gray background which is the original issue. The blue background was printed after the truck accident and distributed. Both have almost the same print run.

Right I always get that mixed up doh! The black & gray one is indeed the one I want though its a cover I aim to get regardless :) Anyone have a link to a cover Gallery handy ?..

I use comic collector live website ... http://www.comiccollectorlive.com/LiveData/Search.aspx

just enter "Locke & Key" and hit the search ... then select the series you want, with the grid view. Not sure if it has all the covers though ... prolly pretty close.

  5. No - No no Cheryllynn sue bob! Don't say it ... I do have a confession ... I am the high bidder right now. .. .and yes, i've been reading this thread ..for ...sometime now (*agent smith voice*)

Okay Matt. :) I'll wait until the auction is over.

Wow, that didn't take long for me to be outbid! ... now i sit back and watch. Too much $$ for lil' 'ole me.

    (thumbs u

  6. Honestly I'd just skip that & buy the hard covers :) then focus your time on the singles. So how is the bidding going ?

Well, so far so good. I'm a lot higher than i wanted to be and have hit a mark where i prolly won't go any further ... but, you only live once - right? :preach:

So are you the guy that outbid me earlier today? I will push this book up more since I missed out on a 9.8 graded back in nov/dec.

It could have been a "gal" ya know....

  7. Hey thanks for Welcome - in the end it'll be a registry set, but for now, it's about grabbing the books first. I typically like to read a copy (not the variants, just the basic issue) then find a graded copy for the long term ... :insane:

Edit: yes, my name is Matt ...
