  1. some books in one of those "bort bort" languages the interiors are in black and white. which would be cool for looking at the OA, but the print quality is kinda crappy. love that batman with "john jones" the martian manhunter. the DDs are for me, but the others are available if anyone is interested.
  2. my original copy. i read it a few too many times, i think. surprised it got a 9.0 thought i'd add a few of my other cool tick things while i'm here. highest graded 2nd print: on the back of 9.8 no-logo :
  3. highest graded highest SS, tied for highest graded only SS, tied for highest graded
  4. i just got some SDCC moderns back. other than one 9.2 that i must have missed something on, i believe everything got the grade it deserved- and plenty of 9.8s.
  5. kudos to rich henn. SDCC moderns finally arrived. one surprise 9.2, but other than that i got about what i expected or better for grades. plenty of 9.8s
  6. did you get some glow in the dark paint for the ghosty?
  7. first one for me. too bad stan was using a big, ugly marker that day. oh well, at least no cockroach.
  8. trying to watch this, but that was even beyond A-Team-level automatic weapon fire avoidance. i don't know if i can take any more of that craziness.
  9. the magazines are scheduled for grading. results are in! Savage Sword of Conan 2 10/74 Marvel Comics Signature 9.8 WHITE SIGNED BY NEAL ADAMS & ROY THOMAS ON 6/30/12 Savage Sword of Conan 1 8/74 Marvel Comics Signature 9.6 WHITE SIGNED BY NEAL ADAMS & ROY THOMAS ON 6/30/12 (thumbs u Par2ch musta handled that #2 so gently that it went up a grade. never woulda guessed... that's my first book to come back a 9.8
  10. dull factory trim blade. nice to see that because you know the edge is real. don't think it'll count against the grade until you start getting into the upper 9 range.
  11. what sort of price do you think this will get? i have no idea, but $20-50 sounds possible.
  12. nothing too amazing, but got these for $1 each at the local flea market. 9.4s or better except the moon knight.
  13. it's nice to see someone who was around back then is able to handle our newfangled internet machines. i can feel myself getting resistant to new technology already, but you give me hope! still would love to see a thread of scans of those original owner books
  14. It would be unusual, although not impossible, for a seller like QualityComix to make a discovery mistake. It's not in their best interest to imagine restoration that isn't there. Did he specify the exact location? If you want, get a digital camera, put it on macro, and take a few pics for us to look at what you are describing. Also, look closely at the inside cover near the spine area. Sometimes the bleed through is hidden under the other wraps. ok will do, thanks! Would magic marker glow under a black light? i have one book that had 2 questionable areas of different colors. one glowed brightly, the other showed up very dark. on a different book, the color touch didn't show at all and was mainly visible by eye. seems like a combo of looking closely, black light, and looking for bleed-through is required to catch it all.
  15. whatever CGC gives you. don't question it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. nice books. i've been thinking of doing the same thing. got some UK x-men that i'm thinking of getting stan to sign.
  17. my Tick #1 is older than you, sonny boy!
