  3. I recently purchased small collection of DC black label books on ebay. The seller obviously took a particular interest in purchasing great condition books and really appears that he never read them. I have purchased books listed as NM and though grading is subjective I have rarely purchased any raw books that are spot on NM/NM+ condition. The seller actually used gemini mailers and taped the bagged and boarded books with blue painters tape individually to keep them from shifting. he took great care to ensure that i would receive them in optimal shape and i was not disappointed. I received comics with this collection as well but am looking to sell the black label  oversized titles as sets

books will be packaged in the Gemini mailers  and placed inside a flat rate mailing envelope for quantities up to 6 books @ a cost of $7.00

As always first :takeit: trumps any PM offers. Pay pal goods and services only and payment is expected within 3 das of sale. Thanks for your interest. I have been a long time collecter and seller of a few books here  On ebay 20yr member with 100% +++ feedback.

Thanks. Much appreciated. I was on here trying to see if anyone had insights of the sixty boxes. But the only thing anyone is concerned about is hulk 1 no insight on the sixty boxes I mean the way I look at it is 250comics x 60= 15,000 comics x $2 on the resell could yield me a good $30k for my kid. Anything else of value will just be icing on the cake. I wanted to start a little selling space for my kid but unfortunately some already think I’m part of this whole thing. I’ll just keep reading other threads and stay out of this one.

I joined this forum so that I can speak with people and buy some graded stuff for my kid but I don’t think that will happen because of the hate I see around here. And before anyone thinks I’m this fluffy bunny character your more than welcome to private message me and get my picture address and phone number. And now I feel I’m already targeted by trollers so this isn’t a safe place for me or my kids to even go on here with my account and start reading anything.

    But thanks

The other issue is there is nothing saying that all 60 boxes are comic books. Funny books, picture books are in the title along with comic books. There are not 60 boxes pictured either so how can you know what you are bidding on.....just sayin’

Well whadda'ya know? I knew I saw the Hulk 1-6 someplace before. Just had to keep looking; July 12th:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Incredible-Hulk-1-2-3-4-5-6-Full-Run-Lot-Jack-Kirby-Ditko-Stan-Lee-Full-Run-Lot-/164274645577?hash=item263f882a49%3Ag%3AWh0AAOSwd71e~5Zb&nma=true&si=E8od8oRKDZdprrtjzMjvScVHsRw%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

And the winner of that NeatStuff listing, the six Hulks that appear verbatim in Floppy B's listing, just happens to be the HIGH BIDDER in Floppy B's debacle.

    https://www.ebay.com/bfl/viewbids/164274645577?item=164274645577&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565

So Either one of two possibilities are in play.

The bidder with 844 feedbacks is bidding on FloppyB's listing because he recognizes the books he already bought from NeatStuff in July, and this is some form of entrapment, for criminal purposes, or the winner of those books is FloppyBubbles and he's shilling this lot using the same account he won the Hulks from Neatstuff with.

James great detective work who says the extra time we have online during the pandemic can’t be put to good use

Unless paypal has changed their policy, that won't work. A seller with very low feedback, none at all for at least a year, isn't selling much. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a $10,000+ transaction? Crossing the $10,000 threshold will spike their system alone, unless a seller has a track record of $10K+ sales, but with limited sales activity + a trans-$10K sale? There's no way that paypal isn't going to effect at least a 21 day hold on the funds, and possibly even longer, until the buyer receives his merchandise and confirms that it's what he paid for.

Ok that may offer some protection for the buyer however if the seller is not forthcoming on the hulk 1-6 and a person decides to bid on the collection and receives all the books pictured including the hulks  wouldn’t the seller have an argument that “I never said they were original’s or complete” and possibly  ebay would find in favor of the seller as they shipped out exactly what was pictured???  Just wondering

  7. Parusing Ebay I came across this auction. Wondering if anyone else has this one on their watch list??

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/60-Boxes-of-old-Picture-Books-Comic-Books-Cartoon-Books-Funnies/193648102906?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

    part of the description:

I recognized a few characters. There are a bunch of old Thors, Iron Men, and there was a box of old Hulks (I loved Lou Farigno!) - Those seem to stop at 6 and start again over 100. I looked for the rest but couldn’t find them anywhere. They were all in the one box.

(really you dont know anything about comic books but you know enough to include pics of hulk 1-6 with a great looking copy of issue #1)

I pulled out a few from the boxes for photos. Everything in these photos is guaranteed to be in the boxes. I packed everything up after taking these pictures so please don’t ask for more.

(I'm sure no one wants to ask for additional information about the hulk #1)

Please feel free to give your thoughts

You have obviously never been at one of my shows... but if you lower yourself to one day attend one, please ask one of our many happy vendors or customers to introduce you to me. Just ask for JP... I have run over 600 local comic book shows in 29 years... I would really enjoy meeting you.

i apologize if in am coming across as a whiner. I know you are doing the best you can and i meant no disrespect. I am not a high end purchaser by any stretch of the imagination and spend most of my time digging thru dollar boxes looking for stuff I can flip. My normal routine is to take a slow walk around the show for a short period of time and say hello to vendors I know and other attendees that i am familiar with. Then go to dealers that have stuff i have interest in. For me this used to be an all day affair and an hour is nowhere close to what i would be happy with. Thanks but I'll wait until things are a bit closer to normal.

That was the Philly show... I posted it for my friend Derek.  Our show has 2 rooms and 16 vendors... which is pretty much the normal amount.  25 people per room... please read the thread.

Ok so I can’t spend 2 hrs at the con 1hr on each side still 7 1/2 minutes per vendor still seems pointless. Are outdoor events still under the same restrictions?? Why wouldn’t a savvy promoter try to link with a flea market location or a outdoor drive in theatre  to try to put on something resembling a real comic con???
