who sold the restored 8.0 copy of Archie #1 back in Feb,

has now relisted the book for sale again on ebay.

The May Heritage Auction of this book went for only $9,000.

The guy buys the same comic back at a fraction of what he sold it for,

then relists it once again at $24,500.

Coincidence that the leaked photos lowered the value of the comic,

or does the whole thing sound a little suspicious?

Any thoughts on the CGC apparent 8.0 copy of Pep 22 on ebay this week?

Is this the highest grade ever given to a book removed from a bound volume?

The price and the year don't add up.

Archie #1 was worth less than $30 until 1976.

$200 sounds more like a price form the mid to late 70's.

There are at least 150 existing copies of Archie #1 today. It's a desirable book, but it's far from being scarce. There's always one for sale every other month.

Archie #2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are much rarer. There are less than 40 existing copies each.
