  1. I would have never recalled that. Yes, the movie wishes to give the impression it is something deep when… it really isn’t – no matter how much "true story" is into it… Yeah I have always found the "unknown" interesting, so things like cryptozoology and creatures like the Mothman are cool to me. Although I have to admit as I have grown older, its pretty tough to keep an open mind. But I'm still trying to keep the kid inside alive and keep the wonder going. As for my avatar, I'll let someone else guess that. I'm pretty sure a few people here can identify it quickly because after my very first post here a few people responded that they too were fans of .... As for the reason I joined this forum in the first place, it was to thank trmoore54 for starting a thread about an ebay scammer. Had I not come across his thread, I probably wouldn't have noticed I was getting punked. So thanks again to trmoore54, awesome guy!
  2. I didnt put much though into my name, just wanted to pick something random from something I liked. First thing that came to mind was the movie the Mothman Prophecies and that the mysterious creature's voice refered to itself as Indrid Cold. So just went with that. I saw the movie for the 2nd time recently and decided that maybe I don't like it so much after all. I could change the name but why bother..... I'd ask you how you chose your avatar but I've already seen it on the back cover of many of my fav 70's comics! La Salle's university
  3. 17 issues later he reappeared to show off his swag once more
  4. Sold Jeremy a high grade X-men slab and it was a smooth and easy transaction. Great guy to work with!
  5. That 1st Harley Quinn app. looks pretty schweet. WTTBs
  6. Sold a high grade CGC slabbed key issue to Rupp and recieved super fast payment! Hope to work with him again sometime!
  7. My wife's best friend in High School had a relative who owned a comic book shop. So my wife and her friend would work at the shop part time for like 6 years (although I never went to that shop and I didnt meet my wife till about a year afte she no longer worked there). She had zero interest in comics then, and still has zero interest, but she does know the characters, obvious key issues and the general cost of much of the stuff pre-2000. So unfortunately I can't pretend the expensive stuff is cheap So when she sees the stuff I've bought I just take the eye rolling and/or death stares in stride
  8. I can definitely relate! Opening the front door to find a TALL pile of packages on the porch, or seeing the UPS and Fedex trucks pulling up to the house at the same time can earn me some hilarious WTF stares from my wife. I tell her that if it wasn't for her, I'd already have my very own episode of Hoarders - Buried Alive goin on.
  9. All 3 of those are gorgeous. Great additions to any collection!
  10. Yep I know exactly what you mean! And now that I finally pulled the trigger (only took what, decades?) to get the GNs I wanted, It's more of a "start" than an "end". Next will be a magazine box, then magazine mylars and board. No way I can just leave that empty space in the box and have unused mylars and boards so now I gotta buy a bunch more GNs..... oh will the OCD insanity ever end?!
  11. Not too many GNs that I am interested in, usually just the old stuff. Well, "old" for GNs that is. Finally had the chance to pick these up as 1st prints in high grade!
  12. Those look like some great copies of Days of Future Past! Love it
  13. Raggedy Ann and Andy! Love it. Although their 1970s animated movie , seen when I was very young, I still rate that as one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.
  14. Michael's - everything from art supplies to preservation supplies, love it!
