  1. My apologies if this has already been posted, did you guys see this limited edition hardcover set announcement? MindMGMT Limited Hardcover Set
  2. Happy Anniversary! April 2, 2002 I signed up for these lovely chat boards and look at this now. To all of those early adapters out there, hello and happy 15 year anniversary to the 2002 crew.
  3. I was reminded by ThoseBackPages that I started the thread. I remember seeing the first issue on the shelf and thinking, I really like Revolver and that Matt Kindt guy. I'll give this a try. I have not been disappointed since. The story telling, the art, the concept all it epic. So very sad to see it end but happy to have the complete story and collection of the fantastic comic.
  4. Mike was kind enough to use some of his SDCC time to search for a show exclusive. Thank you Mike for helping out a boardie.
  5. The lighting is awesome in that room Shadow Images. Gorgeous vintage Mac too.
  6. That was a sweet CGC haul there. Nice books, misses aside.
  7. Love the rooms, please keep them coming. This continues to be my favorite thread.
  8. + 1 I think the colors are black, white and wood but don't quote me.
  9. IKEA shelving is a friend to comic caves everywhere (not too expensive and very versatile). They come in three different sizes. I am using two of the three on the wall with the CGC displays. The Locke & Key are on long shelves, the East of West are on short shelves. I believe there a size in between the two. I love them though. The shelving is wide enough I can put DC Direct Action figures in the box on display is I want. Plus it's really easy to switch the books out. You would be amazed how cool your collection looks when you pick a theme and display them, for example at one point I only had yellow labels up. It was stunning. This theme is variants of any kind. Thank you guys for the love and the dog comments This place rocks (thumbs u Side note, I do have UV screens on the windows and blinds are usually closed.
  10. And now...with more effort on my part, I present Comic Diva's Comic Cave 3.0
  11. Swoon, I just love this comic book. So much goodness in it from the art to the story.
  12. DUDE!!! Church Brew Works! Love your room and your taste in brew pubs.

    Tweet Away

I am not good at online blogging or journal-ing, but I have learned to tweet. I discovered my past CGC journals and felt the bug to post something. Truth be told, I have been a very busy diva; finishing two more graduate degrees and focusing on my professional life. Now that homework is over and things seem a little calm at work I have really been getting back to my comics. Along the way, I have started and learned to use Twitter and my what a universe. I have redesigned the comic cave, new paint and such. But mostly, I have enjoyed catching up on awesome books I like to read. I remember posting that Image was taking over my collection. The assimilation is complete, there are no DC (exclude Vertigo) or Marvel books on my monthly pull list. Though Image is not alone in my pull box, it has been joined by Dark Horse, OniPress, Boom Studios, Archaia and various other creator owned publishers. If anyone is interested, find me on Twitter comic_diva. Oh and one more thing, that copy of Superman 423 I found at a small show, it came back a 9.6. 14. Any idea how they are able to sustain this... just thinking about the number of folks who have submitted books but have waited 4+ months for turnaround. CGC is constantly accepting submissions during shows, influx of books but there's a bottle neck in grading/encapsulation. At some point it will be like Lucy Ball working at the chocolate factory right? I submitted books 08/12/2013, I don't even bother looking to see where they are in the process as it's like waiting for water to boil or watching paint draw.
  15. I'd like to have a blue label in my collection. Will be patient.
  16. What's not to love about the "Betty Climb?" Just a fun read, I enjoyed both issues.
  17. WTTB! Agreed, after seeing the RRP I've been on the hunt for one. I can't pick just one though, I truly like all the covers. Forgive me for not knowing this but why don't the OA of the covers actually exist? Are they all digital?
  18. I know for a fact that the ranger is my favorite character of this series and the reason I put the title on my pull list. He's just a bada$$, and his dog too.
  19. Blue FP is the only 1 I'm missing. Been watching the bay.
