I fear a Zombie Apocalypse than a WC threadThis thread had potential.I was intrigued by this thread at first.
Soon I became frightened.
The OP reminds me of JohnCurlis.
JohnCurlis reminded me of why I needed to vacate the WC innahurry.
if you know of any zombies, please welcome them to the temple burning.
-
tonight is not about metropolis.
frank, if you are near, you are welcome to join us. our conflict has no place here. tonight, we gather as friends
may i pour you a drink?
-
tonight is going to be so wrong.
-
would you like some wine?
-
but i can see you're looking forward to it.
-
hi Pitboss..you're a little early.
-
tonight, the temple is burning
my companion is the other room watching movies. we have a little time together and i have a jug of wine.
in about an hour, meet me in the darkened temple courtyard. show your cups so that i may fill them.
bring mud, torches and stones. bring axes. we are going to desecrate the sacred through old and new poems. in white fire, the temple shall be brought to ashes. the holy statues destroyed. bring your woundedness.
and the gods and goddesses shall appear. and those who believe, healed.
it is not happening on this thread. in about an hour, go to the thread "metropolis *spooned me.* bring your beer and bourbon and irreverence. the gods and goddesses can handle it.

They will live on, they will increase,
no longer pawns of time.
They will grow like the sweet wild berries
the forest ripens as its treasure.
Then blessed are those who never turned away
and blessed are those who stood quietly in the rain.
theirs shall be the harvest; for them the fruits.
They will outlast the pomp and power
of lawmakers, whose meanings will crumble.
When all else is exhausted and bled of purpose,
they will lift their hands, that have survived.

Alright you guys are getting another poem.

I think I broke the thread again.

Chill dude..If I had it to do over again, I would not have said that.
Be careful what you wish for, when I got the opportunity to go back to talk to the girl that I was Incredibly in love with in High School, well...we married 20 years ago, had kids, and bought a home in California..... and last year I found out that two of my three kids aren't mine, she was an addicted gambler who lost our house in a poker game, and she has been a practicing Lesbian for three years....
If I could do it over again, I'd still be with Joana and my son Jimmy....Before I destroyed it in a rage of fury, that damn Time Machine proved to be nothing but trouble!!!
I'm sorry this happened. It sounds like you've experienced a lot of loss.
I hope things turn around for you and that you can appreciate the beauty and love you currently have.
Don't trip..potatoe chip...
I never really had a time machine.
No trippin here.. Mr.beer
orrrr did I?

This thread is broken.
This thread is merely injured.
-
This thread came out of the box broken. I would send it back.
Especially, the last line of the opening post where i wished Metropolis their karma.
If I had it to do over again, I would not have said that.
-
I am sorry I broke the thread. I don't know how I did that.
Hopefully, it is working now or will be back in full health soon.

Seeking But Not Finding The Recluse
Under pines
I ask the boy;
he says: "My master's gone
to gather herbs.
I only know
he's on this mountain,
but the clouds are too deep
to know where."
Chia Tao (779-843)

Thanks. Little by little, I'm learning the ropes . Though now, I'm a hobbyist.
I so much enjoy everyone's posts.
-
What is Lmao...?
Thanks for additional Chia Tao description.
-
Massed peaks pierce
the sky's cold colors;
here, the trail junctions
with the temple path.
Shooting stars pass
into sparce-branched trees;
the moon travels one way,
clouds the other.
Few people come
to this mountaintop;
cranes do not flock
into the tall pines.
One Buddhist monk,
eighty years old,
has never heard
of the world's affairs.
Chia Tao (779-843)
-
When water is scooped up
by the hands,
the moon is reflected in them;
When flowers are handled,
the scent soaks into the robe.
