Ryan, wayne-tec Well said. The fact you can buy the best cover and the origin seperatly makes the pre robib tec club interesting. It gives a broader collector base. action 1 has the cover and origin in the same printing. Also pre robin tecs are more affordable than the early action counterparts.

Agreed! The demand doesn't seem to be cooling off anytime soon So lets get back to early tecs besides the 1.0 36... With two days left tec 27 at 165k and 31 at 27450$. As mentionned earlier i think early tecs and. Ats 1 are on an upswing especially tec 31 and bats1. Tec29 has that action 7 thing going but nothing like like tec 31! The cover is hypnotizing. I truly think that if tec 27 had the 31 cover instead alongside the origin of 33 and cameo out before action comics 1. It would be the holy grail by far. Disclaimer. Tec 31 is my fav early cover. Better than tec27 imho Tec29 has the second cover and sligthly more scarce.but cover doesnt come close to 31. Tec 227 is becoming a bronze age key in the last years and its a swipe hommage of 31! If

Tec 227 is a swipe of 31. Sorry but 31's cover is tops in my books. In 29 we hardly see him swooping in. His nemesis even takes moee space on the cover Yeah. With his weird cowl, non existent neck and weird neck. We see the mad scentist alot better! Jk aside. My fav covers are tec27 and 31 tied close second 29 then 33. 35 hasnt grown on me yet but i like the scarcity of it. if you can't see the big black bat swoopng in you can borrow my eyes..

. We are all nuts for spending our time on old comics! Dont own a tec 27,29,31,33,35 Dont like 29 as much as 31. Would like to a 27 or 31 before a 29. 27 is tops for me but must wait for the right copy. Regret not going after the ext 5.0 from silver acre. I like 33 alot and 35 doesnt do it for me. Own a bat 1 low grade Sweet tec 29!!!

I'm not convinced that the Batman 1 sale at cc is 100% representative of FMV. I'm pretty sure it was just me and one other person duking it out. I went to 29.5 and then folded. If I hadn't been bidding, that book would have likely gone for a lot less. Two people hitting each other with OTT bids does not necessarily mean we have a market surge. I like the 29 as much as the 31, though it trades for a bit less at present. It only takes two to tango to bid up a books price Well actually the world is filled with batman nuts! Bat1 and tec31 are going to the next af15 of the golden age. Tec 31 will almost be equal to bat1 due to scarcity, age( came out before bat1) and has maybe the best batman cover ever!!!! Escpecially in the cgc age.

Sometimes you just have to buy the book and not look fo a discount when chasing keys. Time will help the book accrue in value and reward the buyer.

I really think the cc bat 1 was a 30 book. I was ready at 26 on it. Would have went to 30 imho fmv for that copy. Nice colours and pq. I already won a few and was waiting for two other big and bigger books. Friend also ready at 25+. I think the movie helped bat1 and tec31. I place 29 further down the line. Cover doesnt do it for me. I regret not going and being more aggressive on bat1 and tec 31 just 6 months prior. These are bluechip books. Steady rise in view. Ill have to mannup as mitch says next time!!!! Sometim

Get it back for $45k Shoot me It's a great book, but I'm really surprised that 35k didn't take it home. Somebody's shooting for the moon (which is better than somebody shooting you!). Dark knight's 4.0 looks great and sold during a soft period on ebay back in novemeber 2011. But it was great that he got his grail af15 the sacfice was worth it. I thougt it was at that ti e a 30k plus book. So in today's market 35k + is not unreasonable. its like 2.0 Batman 1 at 30k in the last comicconnect auction. It was a 20k under book. Market is on an upswing on bat1 and tec31 te two best bat books behind The holy tec27. The tec31 on clink will hit 30k lime i said and Might sniff upper 30's. As i already posted. Its at a hair under 27k with 5 days left. Also a 1.5 sold for 25k on ebay. A sharp 1.5 that looks killer albeit. So might hit 40k for a 4.0 sooner but defintly in the near futur. Privte sales of high grade copies have proven this. 100k for a copy thats not even a 7.5.

That sounds about right to me, too. Just a FYI that book was on Clink for sale 2 days before it was removed and put in the auction. It had an asking of 17k and was bid up to 14.6k before it was removed and made it's way into the auction. Thanks! I might or might not have been the guy offering that. I am actually glad its in auction since there is another book or two im interested in this very same auction. Decisions, decisions. I will probably bid up around the same amount if i dont win the other book.

Definetly! It will be interesting to see since no copy over 5.5 has sold via gpa data. Highest lone grded being an 8.0. Last 4.0 sale via ebay sparkle city was for 26k and it was dark knight's copy. That was in nov 2011( should have sold for at least 30k imho) now its on comicconnect with a 35k offer but no sale. Also a 1.5 sold in buy it now on ebay? At 24,995! So i think this copy will go between 30k to 40k anf more likely at 35k. Seems like tec31 is the best pre robin after 27 and ahead of 29. A big sale of a high grade copy would be very interesting to see also. This 4.0 might even go slightly north of 40k since it seems it about over 10k a grade point in unrestored.

That was a good deal for sure. Paid that for a 6.0 prior to the movie Indeed. 4500$ is a great deal considering that silver age dc pre 62 are tough in the fine + Only place is up on a like that. Rich's copy with off white pages qas one i would have been considering( 7.5). Sold just under 10k. Thats a bargain price. Very tough in 7.5 with off White pages( siler dc) If this trends continues i might br avle to puck up a sweet 8.0 for 15k!!!

Agreed. Showcase 22 is a scarce book only 400 graded and starting to be hard to find in 6.0+ Its the af15 of the dc silverage worl. Even though i have a soft spot for showcase 4. Showcase 22 has emerged as the key silverage dc to this point. Still wish the flash could reclaim his former glory but he hasnt enjoyed all the media attention( hollywood movie, cartoons, licencing, mentionned in seinfield, a rapper nicknamed green lanternand)great story lines within the dc universe. Great key book and fantastic cover from 1959 makes for a winning combo!

The last three 6.5 were overgraded and did not present well for the grade. Looked more like 5.0 5.5. They sold respectively for 5.3 and 5.6k the last cgc 6.0 sold for 6200$ presented well and was a strong 6.0. Buy the book not the grade syndrome. A great time to join the club on the fine + level

9.0 pee wee's copy should go for 50-57k highest graded!!! 7.5. Showcase's under copy 14.5-17k 6.5. 6.7-8k The last 6.5 sales were overgraded. The last 6.0 sold for 6200$ nov 2011 on the gpa. This copy sold for 6.1k almost 3 years ago on clink and had an offer of 7050$ before the owner removed it. Might also have an upgrade possiblity since its already at 4.5k with lotsa time left. Hasnt been pressed by the looks of it. A 7.0 sold in november for 10.5k on clink

but there are 4 higher graded copies. why would anyone pay $70k for a 9.0? but for the lone nutjob who came out of the woodwork for a couple of months earlier this year, zaid would still be lugging around his 9.2. in fact, in one clink auction that 9.2 closed for less than $50k but didn't meet reserve.

Showcase 22 cgc 9.0 3 on census : average sales 50k Showcase 4 cgc. 9.0: sale 38k. ( if u own it and want to sell it ill pay 50k. Doubtbthis will happen since the 9.0 is a 1of1) Showcase 22 in 7.5 that rich has on clink has a 15k bid Showcase 4 in 7.5 On comicconect is at 9.6k with 2 days to go! My prediction is 17-22k 5.0 of showcase 4 have sold for 5-6.7k this year. Showcase 22 have sold in the 3k range I think that showcase should and is still mention the top silverage book. Its much scarcer than all the other keys in all grades and especially in high grade. I feel the best deals to be had are the 7.0 and up comparing it to its dc peers. With bigger upside potential on the flashpoint storyline and upcoming movie.
