  1. Ok off topic guys just a question want to try in the next week or so to send some books into cgc. What would be the better one have two copies of The Sixth Gun #1 and two of Peter Panzerfaust #1. Both are hot. What would you guys send in first, just trying to get a feel.
  2. Speaking of 6th Gun can someone give me just there advice have two copies I picked up for way way way below Ebay asking price. Waiting until new credit card arrives and gonna start submitting stuff to CGC again. Would this be one to submit and then resale or hang on too. Just say in comparison which would be best to get CGC first Peter Panzerfaust #1 or 6th Gun?
  3. Sammy havent been to Barnes and Noble yet, but Books a Million said their shipment wouldnt be in until Wednesday. Who knows.
  4. Had a few of the Catwoman #13 not sure if I still do or not. Checked one Barnes and Noble last Friday and they did not have it, can always check the two where i live today but not sure if they have the Batman and Robin #15
  5. . guess you could but still wouldnt be newstand because the upc and all would be missing on the cover
  6. Nightwing #15 newstand and Batman and Robin #15 newstand may be selling so well because like where I am at I called all the stores that sell newstand editions and they all will not be getting them in until Wednesday of this week. So someone either works for the distributors or something. Just my take but I don't know anything.
  7. Just wanted anyone in this thread to know if interested I have a raw version of the NYCC retailer skecth exclusive in the modern for sales thread.
  8. OK just a general question guys. Does anyone know if the Retailer variant will be worth getting CGC'd and held on to for a while or is this something that should be flipped right away if someone bought a copy? Just curious got a very good deal on one way way below ebay prices and not sure if i should try listing it on the bay, cgcing it or just putting it aside like my Spawn #222 (400 copy variants).
  9. Im putting this out there in front of all boardies. I am willing to do a partial refund of $10.00 to this gentlemen because I know he stats $15.00 but the site I found online for pressing says $10.00 for comics after 1980 which this qualifies for. But this payment will not be able to be sent until Wed, 10/17/2012 to the buyer. But for those who want to say something about return policies, etc. It is always listed on my invoices as follows for all buyers and when invoice is paid I assume they took time to read the invoice, which includes this information before paying which evidently from the buyers on words, stating that he was not aware of this until the paypal dispute shows he did not read his invoice. "Terms and conditions Item is "AS IS" buyer has seen condition of books and agrees with conditioning prior to purchase. Item will be insured to be sure it arrives to customer in condition it left and to protect from any damage that could happen while in transit through USPS." And for those who made comments about it being insured if it is over a $50.00 book. The item was insured but you can't do anything with postal insurance until you have images to provide to them which this buyer never did provide until this thread today.
  10. Dr. X, I appreciate you saying that and that was I was trying to make clear. He never asked about return policy, never ask for back scans, nothing of the such.
  11. No whats sad is a buyer would let someone else that has a vendetta to get their way run them off when the seller has nothing else but good feedback from other buyers. And honestly some say its $50.00 so what, it is not $50.00 to start with its $58.00 and all I do if I do give in to this buyer who has went the other avenues and been denied what he is demanding, is tell buyers in the future that hey I'll take whatever back no matter what happens to the item when it leaves my hand. And hey you can spend $100.00 and decide you don't want it and Ill say ok. That is why so many big companies in this country have went under and millions lost their jobs because of a very loose return policy such as this.
  12. No I am done and it is what it is, you could have asked at anytime for other images of back as a matter of fact the purchaser of the item in that listing did themselves and that was provided to them. I would have worked something out with someone if they would have come to me right and gave me room to work, you did none of the above. you never provided images of damages until now. You never contacted me again after that first email, waiting a week to open the paypal dispute, Then 16 days after the dispute is closed in my favor you go to place this on the Probation List. Without any other contact in that time. You didn't get what you wanted when you went the normal path, so instead you set out to go on here and disgrace a seller because they did not do what you wanted when you wanted. I have sold on here for a while and all my other buyers have been happy and left positive feedback and some even quoted as grade being on par. So you will eventually have one bad seed in the bunch and you appear to be that bad apple. So my others buyers have been happy with no issues, and you will not give up until I say here is your money back in full no matter what, that has already been shown. So I am done it is what it is and if I get on probation list for one person taking matters as high as they can until they get what they want so be it. And your own statement from your previous post shows this "I just took those pictures last night. You still never responded after the claim or anything. I saw that you listed more items in the sale section and wanted others to see the condition of book you sent me. I had already figured I was stuck with this book and just wanted to inform other board members so this doesn't happen to them." Which shows that was your intent all along, because by that statement itself it shows if I never would have listed anything again I would not have heard another word from you, but since I did you wanted to be sure you were heard and run what little reputation someone has. So in that I am ending it and if the moderators want to place someone on Probation after all the facts are looked at, that's fine but I refuse to give in to someone who evidently wants his way and will do whatever he can to get it. Peace Out
  13. To answer your question i had statements I was willing to provide to paypal that there were no defects in the books when it left my possession because I have someone else helping me double check books before they go out for anything I might miss and this is because of issues I have had in the past when selling on Ebay where items left me in condition they were described and ended up damaged by the USPS.
  14. "I would have gladly done that but I heard nothing from you until I made the paypal dispute 6 weeks later." OK correct me if I am wrong people you claim the dispute was made 6 weeks later. You received the item according to USPS on the 10th of September and you opened the claim through paypal on 09/23/2012. Last time I checked there are 7 days in a week and if that was the case, the case would not have been opened until according to you 42 days later. Also from my response to your claim on Paypal. "At no time did they send images showing damages they claim" "Which the complaint with book even has changed since original contact from being "horrible spine stress on the back cover" to claim stating the book as "badly beat up comic book", which are two separate descriptions of what buyer claims is issue but never provided proof of any of it by images, etc." That shows it was mentioned twice about providing images twice in your claim with paypal. And as far as your images it is kind of odd now since the book has been in your possession and the whole paypal dispute process was decided in my favor, these images with current dates show up, this is pulled straight from your image files." Image: 002_zps1483a1e2.jpg Date take: 10/12/2012 - 10:04 pm Camera Make: SONY Camera Model: DSC - P93 Image: 001_zpsd9a81dcb.jpg Date taken: 10/12/2012 - 10:03 pm Camera Make: SONY Camera Model: DSC - P93 Then another issue is your statement in your probation listing: "Somehow that's enough for paypal even after the pictures" Which implies even though you say in your last post Paypal says they didnt need pics you did submit them.
  15. Ill just leave it at this if the moderators want to put me on the probation list that is fine. I stand behind principle it is funny how people say he provided images of damages but everyone wants to not see it has been in his possession for 33 days and this is the first images to surface of the damages through the whole dispute process, etc.
  16. People always want to come back to sellers claiming it is their responsiblity to be honest and up front, but anyone who deals on here or any site online knows that there are millions of cases were buyers have buyers remorse about what they purchased and just expect to send a seller something saying that the item is damaged and the seller to refund their whole purchase price without any proof of the damages.
  17. So my look on it is that yes this could have been resolved if you would have read your dispute instead of failing to respond to it requesting images from myself and Paypal. And no I did not respond to your email because why would I respond when you had already escalted it to Paypal without even providing any evidence of damage to the book. Any buyer or seller knows if you claim that there is damage to an item if you include that damage in your response a seller will get in touch with you to work the matter out. So if you felt the damage was that bad when you received it why could you not have included images with your email showing the damage. Because anyone can get mad because the item is not what they want and send a seller an email stating that there is damage but how does a seller know without any proof.
  18. Its funny you keep stating that images were never requested when not only was that mentioned in the response to your claim through Paypal that images were never provided of the damage and that even Paypal themselves when I contacted them stated that the response had that mentioned and even paypal waiting a few days to get images from you which when they did not they closed the case.
  19. Because honestly between you and me I can not sit back and say he did not damage it himself because as stated in the response message this is the first time these images of damages have showed up and the book has been in his possession for at least a month and at no stage of the dispute process through Paypal were these images sent to me or I would have tried to work something out with him, just like I stated in the message if nothing but trying to file through USPS for postal damage. And if it was small purchase I would have no problem doing as you state Shark, but if sellers refunded everyones high dollar purchases over $20.00 , {this one being over $50} and then get a damaged book back that can't be resold to recoup their loss then who wins in the end. Especially when you are dealing with an individual who sales to supplement their government income instead of a storefront seller.
  20. I will leave it at this and if I am placed on the Probation list then it is what it is but it should be noted the following items and explained so everyone can have a feel for it, at no time did the buyer ask for more images and as anyone I have sold to in the past on here can testify if you ask for the scans they can be provided. The book had no bends or anything as the buyer claims and the reason Paypal denied the claim was because I informed them I had witness statements that could be provided by someone who was present at the time the item was shipped to the buyer with no faults. The buyer claims I did not respond to him, because as some board members know I have a medical condition that affects my immune system and was out of commission for some weeks. Then when I logged back on here before I could even respond to this buyer they had opened a claim through Paypal claiming the was and I quote "Instead the seller sends me a badly beat up comic book" but what he sent me via private email was "I am really upset with this book. You said it was a 9.6-9.8 range with no visible defects. You obviously didn't look at the back of this book because there is horrible spine stress on the back cover." No images attached to either the complaint through Paypal or the original email from the buyer and there was a possibility that it could have happened in shipping and the book was insured, but with no images at either junction of the complaint (on here) or through Paypal as a seller all I have is a buyer telling what what they claim is wrong with the item. These images that are now being placed on this probation listing by CollecDestination is the first time at all since the item was sent and the email was sent to me on the 12th of September which as stated I did not get around to checking until the day buyer opened a complaint with Paypal, and throughout the whole Paypal dispute process that the images have even been sent. So that should say something about the character of the buyer, because even in the dispute through Paypal I stated I had not received any images of the books from the buyer to display what damage they claimed was up with the book. And now a month after the original email and several weeks after the Paypal dispute is sided in my favor images of the "so called" damages are displayed on here instead of through the dispute process or even through Pvt message from the buyer. I feel as a seller that the buyers creditability should be looked into because he only mentions to emails in the whole conversation and dispute process and never acknowledge that images were requested through my response through Paypal so I could see the damage. So when Paypal saw all the messages on this site that they were provided links to they read all of them and the buyers complaint and even stated without the buyer providing images they saw it as a "buyers remorse" case. So this buyer wants to claim I misrepresented something to them, when in fact they have misrepresented alot of facts to this board to hurt a sellers reputation because Paypal did not decide in their favor. And if these images would have been provided in a timely manner with the original email we could have possibly came to some resolution and even filed through USPS insurance for damages. So in closing if I am placed on this list that is ok because you know you will have buyers who do not get their way by going through proper channels such as resolution processes, etc. But again I think this should be looked at heavily because like I said this buyer at no time provided any images of the claimed damage during any of the issues with the original email or through Paypal and now conveniently to disgrace a seller on here they place images of the damages.
  21. Spawn #222 (limited variant) Question. Recently got a hold of one of these from an online vendor for cover price, looks to be in great shape and know these things are selling for a hundred or more on Feebay. Anyone know what kind of market these will possibly have because of the limited print run. Just wondering if it would be a book that would be worthy of CGC submission or if everyone thinks it will die off in value after a while. Just wanted some other boardies feedback
