Do they really go for that much? That's actually a low price right now - I'll bet it pops to over $300 very quickly. Yeah that book usually goes for more...lucky buyer. Shows you how costly it can be not to realize what you have... , I think $177 is amazing for not mentioning it was a 35 center. Actually, based on the picture provided I think $177 is dead on. Its nothing past a 7.5 max. Those can be had cgc graded for $300 and some change, factor in grading and shipping fee's and id rather spend another $50 on a graded copy in the same rather than take a chance on this raw book. Then you're in for a surprise. This sold at...VG price?

With the increase in demand for this book, the variant should see some of that increase. Star wars 1 35 cent variant is still overstreet's king of the bronze age

WADR, I disagree for two reasons. First, and foremost I really don't care what others think of me. I am confident in who I am and what I do. Second, the book has sold already. (It's not like I have a stack of these to pump and dump.) I am just sharing what I think, is useful market information. Helps to see a book with more than one bidder IMHO

I think the cat 1 is the book to get...ff 66-67, Thor 165 vs. Marvel premiere 1 argument that has been going on here for a while now... The Cat is the book to get for what? The Cat is not Hellcat. Greer Grant is Tigra, OK, so if you like Tigra you have to keep both the Cat mini-series and the Giant Size Creatures. Aside from this, anyone still insisting on the relevance of Thor #165 (story wise) have just never read the stories (or deliberately want to ignore a 40+ years of comics history). A cool cover, whatever you want, but nothing more. The story is also inconsistent. It's the one to get regarding bronze age books that are heating up on eBay...

Come one catch up. Been selling FS1s and FS3s for quite a while now. Next one will be FS 24 I think. 24 would be from Vol. 2, and yes, definitely starting to creep. I though 23 was the big one here?

+1 This board has a long history of making and keeping people aware of questionable practices, from PGX/Ryan Elliott and Comics America, to Jason Ewert. Comics America? I am not familiar with their transgressions. I bought a couple copies of Peter Panzerfaust 1 when that was only a 30-40 dollar book and they came in in great shape...what'd they do wrong?

I know there was talk about Marvel Tales 98 and 99 (ASM 121-122) heating up...then I felt as though they had cooled off...any thoughts?

It has. But I'm not sure it's the best known...after all, Action #700 and Tec #675 have been fairly important since they came out. I glanced at the MOS list and didn't see it at the start. I missed it down on the end and then again in the update with 19 and 20 in numerical order :doh:
