  1. Anyone out there have the MiracleMan: Olympus Hardcover edition with the original plastic on?
  2. I read that too, in Overstreet, along with the addendum that there is little to no chance it will be available for sale any time soon...maybe another copy will turn up... I'd be curious to see what issues are confirmed to exist and how many copies of each issue are known and then in what grade. This is the same kind of information that goes around in the bronze age 30 and 35 cent variant threads...
  3. PDC is a distributor ( Publishers Distribution Corp.), that goes back to the Golden Age. All Archie's from this era have the I.D. I do recall reading somewhere that it was thought it might stand for Published in the Dominion of Canada, and had myself repeated that information, but it is along the same lines as the ANC ( American News Corporation) and IND ( Independent News Distributors), other magazine and comic book distributors whose stamp appeared on comics in the 50s and 60s ( ANC went belly up in '57, but has its stamp on Archies from the early 50's) Ahhh, very interesting, thank you!
  4. I took a picture showing the indicia to show the cover says 15c and the interior says 12c which is apparently standard on these books...
  5. I don't have it with me right now so I can't check the indicia (I assumed it said 12c because I never heard of a confirmed Canadian edition; I can say I bought it in CT but don't know for sure it didn't come from Canada...) but...I don't know much about PDC stamps either... Do most canadian archies (or similar comics, I guess) have a pdc stamp?
  6. But does anyone know anything more about them? And does anyone have an updated list of issues confirmed to exist? This is the only thread I found but maybe someone else address this recently?
  7. I think the seller drank a bunch of that Canadian whiskey. did you check out some of his other auctions? This is the same guy that had been listing his Sgt Rock 329 AND 330 as Whitman variants. I told him they were not whitman variants and not NM. He told me he used the guide and they checked out. There's just no educating some people...
  8. marvel premiere or dc presents...was marvel premiere 47 ever hot...? **EDIT** Wow! Yeah, I did not realize this book was getting that kid of attention!
  9. Man, that made me laugh! It is finely coiffed. Maybe no one will even notice, right?...
  10. So has anyone noticed the modern comics page of a similar name? No? Me neither, but with the revivial of Bronze Age stories in today's various movies, how about a thread to track what books are currently trending high? For instance, Iron Man 55 went nuts not too long ago? Is it still? Well, not as much as it was, but yes. And now that Hugh Jackman has signed on to Days of Future Past, is it any doubt that Uncanny 141-2 will go nuts next? PROVE IT. Or just give any speculative or factual evidence that some bronze age book is going nuts on ebay! I'm looking at you Jimmy Olsen 134...
  11. Is the complete Winter Soldier story worth buying, or just #14? I snagged that one at a LCS today, but they had the rest of the storyline as well. If cover price, why not. It is also a good read. Unfortunately, they are asking for above cover at $5 apiece. I snagged the #6 they had for $5.50, and will ask on boxing day if they have more copies in the back of #6 and #14. Are there any other books from that run that are worth snagging? 6 and 14 are the only ones worth giving $5 on. Talking Captain America Brubaker run, right? And not Winter Soldier?
  12. Or maybe the Tarzan, John Carter, and Star Wars issues were all just saved more because they started with a number one issue and then were new titles...unlike, say, Marvel Triple Action.
  13. There's about as many xmen 302's as there are Scooby doo #1's .35. That have been found so far. The Scooby's got you by what almost 20 years? Once word gets out on the 302 more will show up. Happens everytime right now no one is looking. Some people been looking for hard for Scooby for quite awhile. Agreed. Scooby >>>>> 302
  14. was happy to pick up three panzer 1's before it really blew up
  15. Isn't this one obvious to everyone? I picked this up before I knew about Hulk 271 or Marvel Preview 7...
  16. What about orfews dd 136? It disappeared!
