  1. Carckajack Funnies 39 is probably on the list, I certainly wouldn't turn one down but the Funnies 64 is a pretty decent representation of Andy Panda as his first cover (and classic flag cover) combined with Woody's first appearance. The Four Color Chilli Willi is on the list and I can't figure a good example of a first Tweety and/or Sylvester the Cat or Yosemite Sam. I guess I need a Four Color 4 and 16 (first series) for solid Mickey and Donald ffirst solo comics but they are pretty pricey at this point and I have a tough time accepting less than VG.
  2. Group shot of key "Funny Animal" books. Still need an Richie Rich 1, or Little Dot 1 and a Four Color 33 or Large Feature 8. Terry Toons 50 is also a good book I don't have. I suppose also an Our Gang #1 but I'd probably rather have a high grade Tom and Jerry #1 instead. Let's see what else....a key comic representing animation characters with long running comic book series starting in the 40's. Let me know what you comie up with. Archie, Tracy, Joe Palooka and others are out since they didn't have a serious string of animation shorts from the 40's or 50's. I made an exception for the Barks Scrooge issues and I couldn't decide between showing only one of the two Porky's. Most of these are really tough finds in Fine or better, thus the lower grades on these keys. Even still, the Funnies and Little Dot are the highest graded copy and the FC 48 is second highest. WDCS 1 speaks for itself and there are maybe 10 Terry Toons 38's graded. The Scrooges are pretty common but what funny animal collection would be complete without.
  3. Here's an issue 30 (shameless plug) I'll be posting for sale soon.
  4. Add that to the books where I'd like to see your copy. Not many high grade issues of that one around. Ed
  5. I'm saying farewell to these two ducks which just sold. Goodbye communist gloves HDL and best Kelly WDCS cover (especially the colors).
  6. Awesome book. This cover is a swipe from a single panel in issue 16. I thought that was kind of interesting. Ed
  7. I'd like to see an up close of that Bugs Bunny Large Feature 8. Never seen that book past VG. I know you don't sell but you don't trade do you?
  8. While we're at it, Any double covers? And dang it, any way to see the top edge as well to any of these or at least future scans.
  9. I too am impressed with the FC 4, what a great cover and I also hope its in the ball park of VF, it sure looks it from here. Ed
  10. Nice Keen Detectives WOW. This just came in, highest single census is a 5.5 and this is tough to get in anything above VG. Great back cover gag too.
  11. Bangzoom is really Steve Geppi. Washington DC, monster GA collection, dry wit. It all makes sense now.
  12. Pluto has always acted pet like. Don't mix him up with goofy - also a dog.
  13. I'm guessing the average grade is going to be F to VF but with so many books all of which appear to look very nice, there are bound to be some NM- or better and probably among some of the keys as well. The group pics are fantastic but a couple scans like there were earlier would be great too.
  14. Indeed. Thats a great issue 7.
  15. Posted this in the Duck thread but when you want to show off a book you want to show aff a book.
  16. Its not Donald Duck but it is the first appearance of Daffy Duck (ignore the Hunt for Daffy story book - stupid Overstreet) Oh yeah, first Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig , Elmer Fudd, Petunia Pig , Sniffles etc. But this is a Duck thread after all.
  17. There look to be quite a collection of pulps and magazines in there as well.
  18. I don't see anything wrong with making an offer. I love when folks make offers on books I show off. I either get to negotiate for a deal which is good or simply decline and stay happy with the books I have. I'm sure folks are re-living the scenario where you're 15 years old in the LCS and someone walks in with a collection of sweet Silver Age Spiderman which the owner buys for peanuts. You keep your mouth shut and then he starts marking them with $100 stickers in front of you all the while with a eating grin on his face.
  19. Indeed. Any Disney's or other Dells? I can't wait to see some crappy King Comics 28 sandwiched between a Superman 1 and a Tec 35.
