  1. Sweet. Will this be the first time to have read issue #1?
  2. Its probably sacrilege to focus on condition, but I was curious if BZ could post what he considers his best conditioned pulp from the 30's or before as well as his best comic fromt pre 1940 and post 1940. Just curious, especially on those pulps, I find it incredible to shape those are in especially considering the overhang on them.
  3. Here's an interesting story. I bought this raw off of ebay and submitted it quite a while ago. Few years later sold it to a Swede with a few other books for an offer I couldn't refuse. It shows up on ebay and I find it doing a past auction search. This book hadn't sold for $500. I make an offer and he sells it to me and here it is. Seems pretty round about but regardless, a sweet book. Decent first appearance, Classic Scrooge cover, rare in high grade. And given that the 9.4 file copy sold for $3500, I'm pretty happy with the deal.
  4. Some Big Little Books from the 30's and 40's. Barks reprints in the Frozen Gold and Volcano Valley. Doubtful about the cover though - too bad. Back covers are pretty cool too.
  5. Wow very nice. You don't see those every day and that 82 really isn't in bad shape. Talk about in demand books.
  6. More Ditko. This is the Gaines parody/commentary story.
  7. Ditko....Dit-ko....DIT-KO...Sausages.
  8. Since this is what everyone is talking about I figure I'd post the cover. No 168 though.
  9. Some high grade post code Joe Palookas
  10. Razorback was pretty lame. Spider-kid see below White (or red) Dragon from PPSS Enforcers became sidekick villains 4 issues after their first appearance and I'll throw in Princess Python as well. Meteor Man was another Ditko miss. Mind Worm The blob from when Hydro man and Sand man get mixed up. The worst part about it was a complete King Kong ripoff and then at the end of the story they have the gall where Spiderman says something to the affect of "Holy Cow this is just like King Kong - wowee" Madame Web pretty much sucked. The Slide was a rocket racer ripoff, but I always loved the cover of his first appearance - very Ditkoesque. Worst... origin... ever. A chemical inventor has a spill while messing around with Teflon. My vote is for Spider-kid, I remember cringing when that issue showed up in my mailbox right after what I consider the greatest run in ASM history 238-261. Hobgoblin after Hobgoblin storyline, Black Costume storyline with MJ origin. Even the filler issues were good with "the Kid who loved Spiderman" tear-jerker. All of a sudden we get a crappy photo cover and secret ID story and then this piece of
  11. Here are the weirdest MJ Sniffles pages from issue 90 and then issue 94 with the later not being nearly as good as issue 90. The only other issue I had is 116 which has a pretty weird storyline but the art isn't as eccentric as some of these earlier ones. The early artwork reminds me a little of the old Andy Panda human interaction stories.
  12. Does it peel off or leave nasty residue like their old one.
  13. Ah yes, the low low prices of Looney Tunes books. Tough in high grade but still affordable.
  14. No problem and kudos to you. And what are you talking about sex in space? I don't get it.
  15. This one fooled me, darn ignorant ebay sellers. Does look like Adolph though. http://cgi.ebay.com/1941-VOL-3-TRUE-COMICS-WITH-BABE-RUTH-ADOLPH-HITLER_W0QQitemZ110164383265QQihZ001QQcategoryZ14006QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
