    Hello Infernos :)

Looks like size matters to CGC, doesn't it!

Are you from Italy I wonder?

I'm based in the UK and have a few comics with what look to be Italian distribution / import stamps on them. In the example below, the stamp has a sterling £100 price:

Would you happen to know anything about that, or have any local knowledge about these types of stamps? I'm wondering why an Italian stamp would have a sterling price on it.

    Cheers

Yes I am from Italy and it is a bit unfortunate that the stamp impact on the grade, many books that I can find here have it.

The stamp you are showing me, as well as mine, were used mainly on comic recalled because unsold and then put again on sale at a discount price, indicated on the stamp. Sometimes the stamp was used also to indicate the price in local currency when distributing it for the first time.

The £ is the symbol for “Lira”, which was the old currency used in Italy before the introduction of €. The symbol is different from the sterling because it has 2 horizontal lines instead of 1 for pounds.

Lastly, thanks to Jennifer for the kind reply.
