Got mine preordered! Been getting my Batman books as digital copies since issue 17. Really going to miss the combo packs...

That's what I was thinking! I really don't know what to make of this yet. I bought a few copies and think that things will get interesting when they are sold out and a story runs about it. That will be the first many will hear about it. Think about how quickly these have sold today. Might not be long before they are done.

this is the moderns heating up thread. combopacks are heating up. a discussion about them is warranted and on topic. if you want to discuss other books that are heating up, you can make a post in this thread and change the topic. Its possible to have more than one discussion going on in here at a time. The only thing heating up about combopacks is the 3 or 4 people here hyping them that refuse to take it to there own thread because they know they would be ignored I think you are just trying to conceal their awesomeness until you hoard more!

Anyone email about international shipping? It mentioned that you had to contact his about international or large orders.

My point is this, It is my understanding that this is a place to bring books that are heating up. So yes bring it here when its heating up, but not once a weeek posting sales again and again, what if the enormous or other popular books did this. You have a thread why not post it there we people that are interested will see it. You come across as hyping this by doing this over and over. Just my opinion .... After seeing all the stuff that has been posted in this thread over the past few years, I see no issue with posting information about combo packs. It fits the criteria and should be updated when there are changes. Anyone who disagrees can just skip a post relating to combo packs. Trying to dictate where people posts topics in the modern area seems pretty useless to me.

The NYC con variant and la mole covers haven't picked up heat because they aren't being pushed online as having low print runs. The regular issue of Batman 35 sells for 10 to 15 bucks. To assert that the combopack wouldn't sell for more than 10 dollars if it had a high print run is absurd, because while it has nowhere near the print run that e-hucksters claim, it still is significantly lower than the regular first print cover, which means it would sell for more than the first print, especially if, as you claim, people are purchasing the book because they actually care about what is happening within the pages. But look at the single digit Batman issues with combo pack variants. Most of the single issue Batman regular covers sell for at least 10 or 15, but their combo-packs don't sell regularly at 40 dollars or more, nor do they sell anywhere near as often as Batman 35 has done in just one week. Hell most of those early Batman combo packs have only one or two listings on eBay at any given time. Arcane has sold 60 plus copies of the Batman 35 combo just through eBay since the end of January. That doesn't account for their in store sales or the sales through their own website. Knowng that you still want to defend the idea that the print run of the 35 combo-pack is in the hundreds? Nonsense. Not defedning the print run for bats 35, i have mo idea what it is for the combo, i am however behind the idea that the reason it sells is because of jokers origin, which has never really been told before, to my knowledge, and also because it starts end game. I dont know about the rest of you, but this joker origin is insane, if it does stay cannon this book will surely appreciate over time. It gaved me chills reading all those, 35 to 39, batman issues, specially jokers "origin" That doesn't make sense, the combo pack is sealed so to open it to read it is knocking the value down. So there's no point buying the combo pack at an inflated rate to read That's because there really is no point to the plastic wrap in the long run

Yea but those $50 sales were still sealed copies, the stuff the guys are buying in bulk are opened. Could be a factor. I have never seen a difference between being sealed or not. Since CGC takes the book out of the plastic seal why would it matter if the combo pack comes with its wrap or not? The condition of the book would seem to matter more to me. Let it go he wont get it.

Why do you find it strange that people are speculating? Just curious. usually short print runs are where speculation would be profitable... dv 3 has a huge print run and lots of stores have tons on the shelves.... seems like there should be ample supply relative to "reg" demand... Thanks for responding. How big was the print run? Is there not a long term opportunity for growth here with movies and the popularity of the comic. How about a female villain to fight against Leia? What about bad robots. Who doesn't like bad torture robots!
