  1. One of my friends is in the same boat. He secured a pro pass but is bailing. I’m close by since I’m working in Brooklyn but if not, I might pass as well.
  2. I am beyond belief at this point when people have such a lack of self awareness that they do not bathe, use soap, wear deodorant, or wash their clothes. The only 'good' thing is that with a reduced number of tickets this year and how late they were still available, I do not see the Javitz being at the capacity that it has been in recent years. That means there is a decent amount of distance that can exist between those with social grace and those without.
  3. Signed up and reserved my first panel in years... why not... @jaybuck43 is also #AllElite
  4. I am at the point where I honestly do not care.
  5. Yes they caught her today but still, there is a lot of nonsense going on these days. https://abc7ny.com/tag/subway-crime/
  6. The platforms are getting worse. Be aware of your surroundings and back to the wall until the train actually gets to the platform. Looking down the tunnel does not make the train move faster but does give the nut jobs an easy target. Be careful. The city is not what it was in 2019 when you were last here. Again, yesterday...
  7. And now a series of NYCC tips from... moi... NYCC This is a, "It is what it is" post. Your thoughts comments feelings on vaccinations are irrelevant. This is not about the virus. This is about being prepared with the right documentation to gain entry for people that have not been to NY in awhile. As someone who has left their comic con ticket at home one year before they had the verification system, I can tell you that it can happen. (Thanks to @PeteFromPetesBasement for coming to the rescue that year so I would not have to waste three hours in a round trip to head back to LI to pick it up. ) In case anyone missed it, NYCC posted a link to establish what they consider proof of vaccination status. This year you must bring proof of vaccination. You can use your card with a photo ID or you can use the Excelsior Pass on your phone. NYCC provided a link for those to download the Clear App. Follow the instructions there, if you want to gain even quicker entry. This year they are putting a color coded bracelet on you once you have demonstrated proof of vaccination. Now remember. If you leave your ticket at home you can go to the desk and they will provide a new one for a small fee. If you leave your vaccination documentation at home then there is nothing they can do for you even if you have your ticket. https://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/en-us/about/health-and-safety/how-to-get-into-nycc.html
  8. If in ballpoint pen and not marker, cover signatures can also get a blue label with the signature name in quotes. My ASM 1 says, "Stan Lee" written in ink on cover.
  9. Since it qualifies for a cheaper tier, why would you want to see that change?
  10. Lego 4483 Imperial AT-AT - 100% Complete - Staple pop on the bottom staple on instruction booklet. $125. SOLD Someone was looking for one of these in a lego group... pulled and sold there.
  11. Lego 3460 Statue of Liberty with bonus custom Spider-man figure and web Set is almost 3ft tall 2,882 Parts with almost all of them in the hard to find sand green color $625 Removed - too cool to sell. Prices are all over the place between Bricklink and eBay
  12. Makes me consider renewing my account actually I wasn't joking about that. I have around another two weeks before it is over.
  13. OMG I just remembered that. For those that want to see beet sheet crazy... Here is the original synopsis for the original sequel https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20180810-gladiator-2-was-written-and-its-mad
  14. I felt the sentiment of his post was that no one cares about thought provoking cinema when it comes to this series, the fans of this want to see two spider guys fight. I think his thought was lost due to the nobody cares comment but that was the meat and potatoes part.
  15. Lol I agree with him but I will say it more eloquently. Nobody is walking in expecting an Academy Award winner so the critical response will not align with the regular consumer response. This is like Transformers where no one is walking in to that theater for thought provoking cinema. That audience wants to see robots beat each other senseless. The audience for Venom wants to see these characters fight. It was the same thing as Freddy v Jason. Will the consumers eat this up to justify another sequel? Probably, but only if Holland is featured in the third part.
  16. Forgot about this since @jaybuck43 told me... In the category of "How do I know that NYCC will suck be a little bit more low key this year?" Every year since its inception the Walking Dead has been the featured promotion on NYCC tickets. This is the final season of the Walking Dead and the sponsor for the tickets? Source Point Press Received my pass yesterday
  17. I have a Marvel Unlimited account to do some reading of series when I feel like it. I only buy Amazing Spider-man each month and right now I believe I am six issues behind. When I get to ten I will buy them from a board member or MCS. No local comic book store is holding one title for one customer.
  18. With page quality and within a certain range you are paying for a label. I've had books CPR'd that have come back with a better PQ and with a worse one.
