  4. And this is exactly what I thought might happen. Anything that Heritage is involved in will lead to speculation that they are messing around behind the scenes. This is a screen cap of a text I received on Thursday.
  5. Baseball Smurfs Batter Smurf - Light Brown Bat Variant (I never knew they had variants) Catcher Smurf - Sold as a set for $10 SOLD
  6. Don't have microsoft paint or anything comparable on the Mac (I don't think) so I cannot jump in... But great to see contests on the boards. Good luck to all participants.
  7. Maybe prohibited is a better word. It was a piece of jewelry that contained mother of pearl. Australia apparently has it on a list of prohibited items to import or the US has it on a list of prohibited items to export specifically to Australia. It is one or the other. Either way, since eBay does the forms for you they declare the item as per the title. Since Mother of Pearl was in the title of the listing it was tied up in customs. When I inquired as to what would happen, I remember that eBay told me that to no fault of my own, Australian buyers should not have been able to purchase the item. (No, I don't know how that works). Without my prompting eBay told me that no money would be withdrawn and the buyer was refunded. I later found out that eBay or Pitney Bowes sometimes receives these items and auctions them off on eBay. It took me a bit but I found the listing and saw that they sold it for about the same that I originally did. I wish I could find the link to the Pitney Bowes private account on eBay again to show you all the stuff that gets lost in the mail or denied through customs that they sell off. There were a lot of pieces of jewelry, knives and other things that are normally permissible to sell within the US but not internationally. If you were looking for a more 'interesting' transaction, you could have been with me yesterday at 6:15 as a drug deal took place and one guy dropped some of his little heroin packets on the floor. I partially turned away and went back to listening to my podcast. Ahhh the MTA... it's like live theater.
  8. @jaybuck43 and I went in 2016 during one of the art sessions and you are right, it was a fun experience to go. I wonder if he can explain it further but Jay got there about a half hour before I did and was able to log me in if I recall correctly.
  9. Obviously anyone who passes is no longer an entity that can be a party to trade with so therefore a warning to others not too engage in transactions is moot. With that said, the name should be eligible to be removed from the list so long as the board history is also not erased that led to the HOS nomination to begin with. My reasoning is that we have looked at prior instances of board misconduct to serve as precedent in deciding whether or not a current or future incident is worthy of being put on the probation list or the HOS. So, I vote to remove him from the HOS in this case with the understanding that posts will be not be erased.
  10. The CGC Boards are currently the plastic milk crate challenge of the internet. For those of you unaware of the "2021 Version of the Tide Laundry Pod Challenge of Stupidity" here is a compilation along with the police even attempting this.
  11. eBay is still the best venue for certain items. I use other venues first these days but eBay is still useful. However I made a plan in 2019 to be eBay free in two years. In December that looks like it will be achieved.
  12. Right now every Nu Yawker is like… “It’s Sub Mare rin err !!!!”
  13. If using eBay this is why I strongly recommend the global shipping program. If a package is held up in customs or denied entry for any reason the issue falls upon eBay and not the seller. eBay will then make the buyer and seller whole. Strangely enough, if the package is returned to the US eBay takes it and auctions it under their own account. This happened last year with a package to Australia where something was purchased from me that was illegal in Australia where it was denied entry at customs. This also happened last year when packages were in a crawl for a multitude of reasons.
  14. Oh hey... look at that... the pq got better too... once again, why I never pay a premium for 'white pages'. I have seen PQ change between CPR's as well. Some go from OW to OWW and sometimes OWW to White.
  15. Where it is most likely headed doesn’t care whether you like it or not.
