  1. It saddens me to say that the train loop is going to have to come down to do some urban redesign to accommodate the biggest modular on the block.
  2. That's a great story. Glad that you got your book back.
  3. K - Pete just left and is on his way back to Brooklyn. I can honestly say that there is a lot more than I estimated as there were multiple figures in bags. I know that there are at least another 100 if not more figures that have been sorted and have had new o-rings installed. At this point, Pete will be taking the pictures and following the format shown in the other images and he will be installing the rest. I just sort and install o-rings. @followtheleader - I just logged him off my computer so he definitely did not see the notification of your claim. I just texted him so he will take care of it. Pete is a good guy and I think that this might be the largest vintage Joe collection brought to the boards. If it goes well I have suggested offering some comics here. We shall see. Some highlights to come: Ninja Viper 82' Straight Arm Scarlett Night Force Figures Complete Air Devil figure - yes with the face shield. Complete Decimator figure Quite a few other surprises.
  4. I brought this collection to the boards thank you I also told him to take anything that doesn't sell here straight to the GI Joe Trader PX group on Facebook. We have been at this for hours and still have around 100 figures with new o-rings installed that have to be photographed and posted.
  5. Okay... I am going to take a break from writing the listings under Pete's account. Pete is going to be listing while I am watching Netflix and swapping o-rings. @jsilverjanet say hi to Pete. @BlowUpTheMoon See? He does exist.
  6. Hi everyone. So, right now my house is filled with Pete's GI Joe Collection. While you will be dealing with Pete, I am the one that is listing everything. (most everything on Day 1 - there was too much). I will be providing an accurate description of each item as far as paint, condition of screws, tightness of each limb and completeness of the figure. Every single item that is being posted under Pete's account I am personally looking over before it is posted so everyone is happy with their transactions. I am merely providing an assessment of each figure while Pete is setting the prices and handling the business side of things and shipping. Take a look at what is going to be listed. There are some incomplete beaters useful for parts of starter figures. There is one piece here that went for $860 on eBay that will be offered for less. I was amazed at some of the things in this collection.
  7. I don't think that anyone can say that didn't market the hell out of this film.
  8. You know... I just stumbled upon the deepfake video of adding Mel Gibson's face on Tom Hardy in Mad Max Fury Road... While it is nice to see, I don't think I really missed Gibson as Max, not because Hardy's performance was so good but because everything else about Fury Road is. I've even seen Fury Road in Black and White and I have to say it is possibly the only movie I have ever seen in 3D that made me say that 3D technology actually made the movie even better. (My lord that sandstorm scene in 3D is to die for.)
  9. From what I have seen of this collection, it's a good one. I've already seen a Starduster. The thing is I also told him that he should offer things here first and then whatever doesn't sell take it to Facebook. I make no bones about it and have mentioned it in my own sales threads. It is always best to offer things on the boards first. It benefits the boards to get first dibs. It benefits the seller because it makes it easier to post in a quick chain to create a fervor when you transition the remainder to a thread on Facebook.
  10. Greggy is actually very good at scrabble / words with friends. I've played him a few times.
  11. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=ninja+viper&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1&_sop=16 There is too much money at stake for the other board member to come here and for the mods to think he is me, and I am circumventing a vacation while he posts from my computer in my house.
  12. So you won't be interested in the GI Joe collection I am bringing to market for a board member? This is a $100-$200 figure just by itself and he might have one complete with the uncut file card and accessories.
  13. You just play one? I am going to stop. I just arranged something and am bringing a toy collection to market tomorrow afternoon. I convinced the owner who is already a board member to list them here. Last thing I want to do for the board member is get a strike and a vacation.
  14. Another pathetic buzzword from those that cling.
  15. Let the two sides battle it out. The world is changing and moving forward. People of a certain mindset that these changes are frivolous and push back also tend to believe that they are being marginalized by society. You are damn right you are being marginalized. Time to have some self reflection as to why it is so important to you to retain the words you choose, actions you take and belief system you engage in.
  16. Big difference. Very big difference. And even within rap culture there is a push for that word to be abandoned. There is a difference between taking ownership of a word and allowing it to be used in a derogatory manner against you.
  17. No, but I am tired of hearing the argument. There are many terms and words that are currently almost universally regarded as 'wrong'. But at the time that people started to question their usage and place in the vernacular there was massive pushback that the offended were being too sensitive. I think one of the more recent and best examples is the use of the 'r' word which is considered a derogatory term toward those with disabilities. So maybe there are other things that require further exploration and should be expunged. At one point society deemed that calling African Americans the 'n' word was acceptable. Nowadays, it is nowhere near acceptable and that is a good thing. So maybe some people are offended by certain things, because they actually are offended and have reason to be.
  18. K - I also had a book that when sent down they missed the trimming and also said that the center wrap was missing as the book was incomplete. Called them up and told them they missed a couple of things. They took the book back. Saw that the wrap was married but was there and then saw that the book was indeed trimmed and noted it. They reimbursed me for the postage and grading fees. I would... call them.
