  1. Some consider May 4th to be Star Wars Day. May 4th is really Adam Yauch Remembrance Day
  2. @onlyweaknesskryptonite I have to admit she followed up with an offer that for once I would consider taking. However it’s worth the $250 just for them to wonder what happened. You can’t but this. The trifecta will be if she tries buying from two other accounts and finds that she is blocked.
  3. Christmas came again today… someone else who has had a history of making ridiculously low ball bids sent me a message. Not even going to respond.
  4. As good as something might be I don’t want to start something that was cancelled or ended without a proper or planned send off. That will drive me nuts. I was introduced to manifest and got halfway through season two when I was just informed it was cancelled. Quite annoying. was Lucifer cancelled or properly concluded or still in production? I might give that a try but I was told that it is connected to Constantine and by proxy the arrow verse… truth? im at the beach and just woke up.
  5. I am not going to speak for him since by his DC sucks attitude (they don't) your response makes sense. I have to admit, I have not seen any of these. But before you think it's a Marvel DC thing (I think you know me better than that...) I have not watched Agents of Shield, Runaways, Cloak and Dagger, or Inhumans. I didn't see the need to watch New Mutants because it was erased from the the Fox X-Men Universe as well as the Marvel Universe before it was even released. My TV time is very precious and limited. I might sit down and start watching either Arrow or Flash but then I feel like I am going to get sucked into watching them all and spending 100's of hours watching tv and I think that is sometimes the elephant in the room for a few people. If I start something then all of a sudden I have to schedule a hundred hours of my life to actually enjoy it and for some, or at least myself, I don't want to invest myself into that where there are other things to do. With that said, I did just watch all episodes of Penguin Town on Netflix and I stand by my desire to want to own a penguin.
  6. That wasn't a scene from Loki. That was the local Orlando news affiliate reporting on the weather.
  7. If someone keeps making lowball offers like that I just block them and move on so my time isn’t wasted. Eventually they figure it out. Before anyone says, “But imagine the business you are turning away.” I’m not since I wasn’t going to accept a lowball offer to begin with. Like I said, eventually the lowballers figure it out.
  8. Be lucky that they are asking for a signature and set up a lawn chair on your front lawn with a cooler waiting for the package. At my parent's route they are STILL signing themselves and leaving the packages anywhere they feel like whether it is at the correct address or not. AGAIN my parents neighbors received their package. I always say the worst was the driver signing for and delivering Superman 3 to the wrong address but the real worst was signing for my dad's medication and leaving it at another house.
  9. I bought a copy of Pictures News 2 this morning from MCS. 1st Sinatra in Comics... I actually would like to get that designated on a CGC slab I also wound up buying the 1st cover appearance of Sinatra in comics in Pictures News 3.
  10. They are explicitly losing their minds because he was a blonde haired white guy in the comics and not a blonde eyed white guy in the new film. They are not as well versed as you are giving them credit for. I am keeping quiet as I remind myself that I am just there to take their money and once that is done, I can block them and enjoy the others in the group. The facebook GI Joe groups bring in an interesting assortment of people. Most of them are decent people where although there might be different cultural and political ideologies are still decent people at heart. Then there are the stereotype rednecks where their most extreme example was a guy that was showing off a tattoo that he had done of Cobra Commander pointing a gun at the head of a kneeling Zarana forcing her to perform a sex act on him. I could not understand how someone would even think to request something like that of the tattooist and what tattooist would say, "Sounds great, hop in the chair."
  11. I love it. Works great for me to be honest. I just had to calibrate the settings. But, with that said, I would never trust anyone to pick something up. When I drop it off myself I make certain that it is scanned. That way I know that the chain of possession last ended with the USPS. When you have it picked up you never know if they will actually scan it. No matter how great your postman is, maybe he called in sick that day. Maybe that was the day he scanned all but one of them. When I drop them off at the post office, there is evidence through tracking that the USPS took possession of the item.
  12. Around here on Long Island, requesting a pickup is basically requesting a porch pirate to come and plunder your front yard. It's amazing what gets passed around the ring doorbell. I have packages that have to go out today so I avoid the risk and drop them off personally.
  13. Not always... if it was purchased off of eBay from certain sellers such as moi... it is automatically insured to $100 if priority shipping was used.
  14. Fixed that for you. I didn't shill it though. I decided that since I was the only guy that had a graded copy of the book that I would set the bar and call the shots. I had a few inquiries about the book but since I only had $40 invested into it, I shrugged them off. Interestingly the book was sold overseas to someone in Germany using the eBay Global Shipping Program so they definitely paid more than the $325. I made mention of the comic art thing because I seem to notice certain trends in that area where people pretend that the next undervalued artist that nobody has yet jumped on should be raised to the levels of the next Cezanne.
  15. So... without naming the book... I bought a book off of Comiclink for $40 while bidding and winning a few other items because it looked cool. I also wanted to try something because I had never seen it before or even heard of it. After I received it I decided to do some research and saw that it was purchased from time to time at the around the price I paid. So, I wanted to run a little experiment. I put it up on eBay for $325 and refused to budge. Someone bought it. New GPA is set. A few more popped up due to my sale. I set a new benchmark for what is really a $40 book and now people are going by my ridiculously inflated price as to what the book is supposedly 'worth'. A copy that was slightly higher in grade sold on Heritage for a proportional increase in price. I laughed knowing my sale influenced the bidding on that book. I really shake my head sometimes at the market.
  16. Meanwhile on the Facebook GI Joe groups there are still quite a few holdouts on this movie simply because Snake Eyes is not being played by a blond haired, blue eyed "American". If they know anything about Snake Eyes why do they care? Don't they realize that by the end of the movie or the beginning of a sequel, Snake Eyes will be horribly disfigured and will be a world full of messed up under that mask so it doesn't matter what he originally looked like under it?
  17. To be hung in the basement. Says I have to wait until July 15th booooooooooooooooooo I want to get it in hand before it's framed.
  18. I kept the puppy. That didn't have a box though but I remembered it enough to put in my memorabilia cabinet. I actually gifted the Frisky Freddie with the box to my parents after seeing photographs from their first Christmas as a married couple and one of them bought it as a joke gift to the other as they loved Frogs. I was originally going to keep this but I really am paring down this summer and while it is a 56 year old toy with the box. I cannot keep everything.
  19. Condition of Toy - Paint is in decent face around the face with no distracting paint loss meaning that the eyes the mouth and eyebrows are discernible. Both headlights are present but there was a crack in the framing that was glued. There is some friction wear along the paint on the rear tires. The yellow cord is original and seems to be the original length. (It took a long time to untangle) Springs work on the neck and head is firmly attached Wheels are firmly attached Friction rub on the treads of the wheels. There is no rot or fractures in the wood framing - see the underside. Box Box is completely present. Tabs on side flaps are untorn lip on closing flap is torn and a piece is missing. Box exhibits scratching and fading and general wear No bug or rodent chew is present which is nice. 1965 Date stamp is on the bottom of the box.
