  1. In a more serious response. I don't know if I would consider Zach Snyder an 'A' list direct. When I think of "A" list there needs to be a certain level of achievement there like a Scorsese or a Spielberg. Now, do not get me wrong. I do not think that Snyder is a bad director at all. His body of work contains both movies that have been both celebrated and panned by respected critics and then by a movie 'fan' as myself. (I liked 300, Man of Steel, Snyder Cut, ... but did not like SvB... you get the idea.) So, I guess I would consider Snyder to be a B list director. While he has a decent filmography I do not think he is at or has the same body of work as a Scorsese, Coppola, Nolan, or Spielberg. But as far as NOTABLE living directors who are working with or have worked with Netflix: Alfonso Cuarón - Roma Steven Soderbergh - The Laundromat The Coen Brothers - The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs Guillermo del Toro - Pinocchio - In development Michael Bay - 6 Underground Martin Scorsese - The Irishman These immediately came to mind.
  2. This is my personal speculation and nothing more and I am looking at things from a long term viewpoint. The next round / phase of Marvel movies need to accomplish a few things. Two of those things are major things Figure out a way to bring in the Fantastic Four Figure out a way to bring in the X-Men By establishing a multiverse as we already know will exist with Dr. Strange (and apparently Spider-man ) and establishing a quantum realm as we already know from Ant Man, Ant Man and the Wasp, and Avengers Endgame, we know that there are means to bring these characters in through the doors opened by these movies. I think that the antagonist will pave the way by creeping in one of those backdoors with X-Men or Fantastic Four to follow as they give chase. What antagonists could make their way into the Marvel MCU side of things first? This could be either an end credit scene or in the proper movie itself like when Thanos sent Loki to reign terror on Earth in the first Avengers. Well I would not be surprised to see: Kang - obvious reasons by using the quantum realm to time travel like the Avengers did in Endgame Dr. Doom - Magic portal like Dr. Strange / Multiverse. Galactus - because Galactus. The Silver Surfer. I would not be shocked if there was an end credit scene where Dr. Strange confronts the Surfer like he sat down and spoke with Thor as an end credit scene. Insert any other shared Strange / X-Men or Strange / FF antagonist here. Either way... with the FF movie on it's way... there has to be something that leads us there. I think that it's the Dr. Strange movie that opens the door.
  3. Most fireproof containers are not suited to keep non precious metals and after long periods of time tend to cause decomposition in those materials. Staples are a non precious metal. I would not keep them in there.
  4. That's how at least one comic book store I know of survived the early 2000's after the 90's crash.
  5. I cannot wait for the next Double Points Day The best part? Look carefully at the base. They made it compatible with the Lego modular houses. So... it's an unofficial modular. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2021/05/17/lego-marvel-spider-man-76178-daily-bugle-revealed-with-25-minifigures-including-blade-punisher-daredevil-news/
  6. Sorry, nothing else for now. The Mando 6" figures sold via Facebook as soon as I listed them on Saturday night. The other items that sold, Mando 3 carded set, video game, Rebel soldier 6" and two lego sets were claimed by another board member via PM. The other items are still available for now. I already have something interesting planned for this Saturday or next.
  7. One thing that should be considered is providing some more supervision in the encapsulation room. There is no doubt that the graders are doing their job. However when you have books showing up in PM, Facebook, Text message, Instagram and all across social media showing banged up books or in some cases parts of the cover folded over itself after being encapsulated that is not on the graders. That is a clear demonstration of a breakdown of quality control in the encapsulation room. While I am sure that they are just as overwhelmed and under fierce deadlines to process graded books, there is definitely a breakdown in quality at the encapsulation point of the process. How does this impact things? I cannot in good faith submit any single book I believe has a shot at a 9.8. There is too much money on the table to risk CGC messing up a group of UF4's and other modern books I was thinking of submitting.
  8. I once auctioned a relative on eBay. It was an in joke where family members were bidding on them... and the outside guy from CT. So I am going to guess that the auctioning of humans is no longer permissible as well? eBay is really becoming a downer these days.
  9. Well this will come in handy. 10. eBay seems to operate on a key word identifier of sorts. I know this as when I am listing certain things it will say, "It looks like you are listing "x", you may want to list it in this category instead." (or something like that.). Now, you can push on and list whatever you want. However, members can report your listing. Now, I know what some people might say. "How come when I report an auction on a comic book that is obviously a fraud that they do not take it down?" What might be an obvious fraud to you is not so obvious to the person in customer service as they do not have a specialty in comics or know the nuances of how we do things in this hobby. However, a picture depicting a sexual act is a picture depicting a sexual act.
  11. For the auctions, I find it helps to go through everything which is mind numbingly tedious. For the Metro website, I search by title and turn the page to when the number comes up for the book I am looking for.
  12. I don't really care about zombie movies. (Big difference than, "Don't care for zombie movies"). Zombie movies are just not my thing although I still watch the Walking Dead because I invested too many years into it and might as well see how it ends up. Outside of Scorsese or Wes Anderson or a select few directors, I do not seek out their movies based on the director themselves. With that said... I am looking forward to this movie for two reasons. The premise of the movie seems, 'fun'. From the previews it seems to be like a zombie version of Fast and the Furious 5 which I genuinely like with Fast 5's Ocean's 11 type plot. The second reason is because of Dave Bautista. The guy seems genuine and likable. I want to see what he brings to the table here.
