  1. Hush you. John Mayer is excellent live. I never appreciated him until I caught a couple of Dead and Company shows. In fact... I might catch heat for this. Mayer might be the best touring guitarist currently out there.
  2. They also claim that they offer seller protection. That's doesn't seem to stand up in court much either. That's a joke on them... not you.
  3. When it comes to PSA / DNA or Steiner while we are at it, the sticker is there to denote authenticity regardless of grade. The adhesive is "allegedly" designed so that the sticker suffers damage if someone attempts to remove it. If the sticker is damaged, then the item's authenticity is called into question. I think sometimes in this hobby we tend to drift into the false notion that a number on a slab equates the value of the item if you are collecting signatures and sketches. There are plenty of rare signatures out there where the condition of the item signed is secondary to the item itself.
  4. My tax guy advised me to buy a place in Florida, live there for at least 8 months, and then sell everything so I could give a two finger salute to New York.
  5. You mean like when I suggested that a bunch of drug dealers and money launderers had discovered comic book collecting?
  6. People are currently saying that CGC takes 2-3 weeks from physically receiving your comics and actually entering them in the system and marking them as received. I would assume the same for CCS. With that said according to the website, there is a 113 day turnaround time. Unless you are going to pay them to expedite your books, combined with current grading TAT's you are looking at getting your books back sometimes in February.
  7. There was a thread years ago where someone actually made a purchase on a site like this just to see what they would receive. If I remember correctly, they received a pair of sunglasses.
  8. There is something lost in translation there with their customer service sometimes. Keep in mind that you are usually calling the Philippines if you are on with a live operator and while English is widely spoken there, there still might be something that is causing the confusion. If you sell 25 comics in 1 listing it counts as 1 sale. If you sell a 50 piece lot of GI Joe figures in one listing it is 1 sale. eBay tracks its sales through listings. If a single listing is sold no matter what it is in that listing it counts as one sale. Think of it like this. If an eBay listing contained a set of scarf, a hat, and a pair of gloves then that is one listing and one set. It is not four individual sales.
  9. @greggy will not pop @greggy will not lose his value and before anyone else... “That’s what she said.”
  10. Remember that time you said that no explanation should ever be provided? How did MCS do here?
  11. I mean that might be a little high... but I also just remembered that it cost around $700 to get a Captain America Comics 48 with half a back cover and a stain on the last page. I guess that is still cheaper in comparison to the eBay book as my copy of 48 is at least 'complete', but Golden Age Captain Americas have always been sought after. So if you are going to try and get a Captain America Schomburg book there is a certain entry level price for those things regardless of grade. We saw this years ago when all Hulk 181s were around $600 just to get a copy in any grade up to a 3.0. I remember that thread from years ago.
  12. Also keep in mind that the "Strictly eBay Crowd" doesn't see Golden Age Captain Americas that often. One of my friends usually looks toward eBay as the ONLY source of comics. When I told them about Comiclink and Comic Connect and Heritage he asked, 'but how do I know I can trust them." But also keep in mind that I have seen books go for cheaper than everywhere else on eBay and sometimes they go for more. Depends on the crowd.
  13. Rules US Shipping only on this please. PayPal Goods and Service, Check, Money Order I go by timestamp of whoever commits to buying whether that be in public or PM. 14. Anyone ever get a post pulled by Facebook marketplace for violating their terms of service? That is what just happened after an hour of photographing and writing. I did not make any mention of weapons or guns or anything like that. It was not pulled by the group but by the Facebook automated scanning software they use. I appealed it but it's basically good luck with that.
  15. I would post it... but I will just cue in @greggy so he can post it.
  16. Thanks ! I had only seen it pop up on Heritage and kept bidding there but the pricing was more than I wanted to pay for it. I CGC 4.5 went for $330 last year and a raw VG+ went for $660 on Heritage back in January. So I figured $350 for the 5.5 was a fair price in comparison. At this point I have all the WDCS war books. I just have to get one of them graded for the set.
