STOLEN TOY COLLECTION IN GA/ PLEASE BE ON THE LOOKOUT
Buzzetta replied to Real Elijah Snow's topic in Comics General
@Real Elijah Snow Do you want me to post this in the GI Joe toy groups that I frequent on FB or do you want me to wait and see if a bunch of these items show up for sale in those groups? This could work both ways when it comes to the GI Joe stuff. Also ask him if he has any pics of the MOC Stormshadow. I would not be surprised if they were to show up there. -

Built and now part of the city. Bat signal had to be placed on top. I am not entirely satisfied in the design to be honest but I do not have any drive to 'fix it'. In order to get to the roof the police have to climb a ladder and fire escape from the base of the building from the back. I would have included a door from the third floor to the roof on the left and then climbed the ladder. I might change that. -

Me: I really need to thin out all of these collections and gain back some space. Also Me: I think I need a rubber ducky for the bathroom just to see if anyone else notices when they come over. -

Inside Jokes only the Comics Section of the CGC Boards Would Get...
Buzzetta replied to Buzzetta's topic in Comics General
I asked Kryptonite to do a photoshop for me. Thank you. Now this picture is ''right". When you see the difference between the pics you will get it. -
- I was talking more along the lines of what @onlyweaknesskryptonite and what Joe said above said where he wanted to buy something and someone was using his pics in the ad for the item he was interested in. I stumbled upon it as I am always looking for a well presenting sample of that set and a specific train set I had as a kid. I just woke up. It was a long day.

The thread was removed by either the admins in the group or herself. I reported it. There were a couple of 'shocked' likes in the group. Then it was gone. I saved a link to her profile and can see that she did not block me. I am hesitant to reach out to her because if she blocks me I won't catch any of her other posts. However, I did a search for her and no longer see her in the group.

On a set like 110, yes he is right. The parts catalog from earlier sets were no where near as diverse as they are today so their components can easily be sourced from many other sets. However, few boxes can be found from that era in any displayable condition. Let set 110 was the very first set I ever received so I look for it from time to time. In the four instances that I saw the set come with the box, I bought it twice with the second one being in far better condition than the first. The second set I had was actually missing a few pieces that were easily replaced from other lots of bricks I have bought over the years.

So this happened on Facebook this morning and I was wondering if anyone else ever ran into something like this? I alerted the administrators after I responded and the post was removed after I had already screen shot everything. I posted this image back on March 17th, 2015 on the CGC Boards. HERE I am not going to lie. I was at first interested because I am always looking for a better condition copy of that set and then I noticed that the rug was the same throw rug as the one in my office. Then I realized... that's my stuff. My fear here was that if she used these pics to sell items she did not have that someone would go looking to see where else these images appeared and then traced them back to the CGC Boards thinking it to be me. I like my reputations the way it is without outside interference. Wondering if that has ever happened to anyone before and what you did? I figure it could be a good thread for laughs or heartache. I figure with comic books it occurs with more frequency.

If he wasn't trying to change the deal after it had been made I would have pointed out his error. I can't though. I really can't anymore. -

We now interrupt this story to provide you an afternoon laugh. Facebook Marketplace. "Hey bro" (Yes, "Hey Bro") I will take those two pieces. How much is shipping? I get the shipping quote of $5.95 The items were $23 and $18 respectively and I said take off 10% "Awesome" he says, I will take it. (So at this point the deal is made) What's your PayPal? He then writes, "I know this is weird to ask now but is there any way you would take $45 flat for both? I do the math... $18+$23 = $41 - 10% = $36.90 + $5.95 = $42.85 He wants to pay me $45 flat. . ok I say, "Why not." I give the PayPal address. We are doomed as a planet. -

At what overall cost though? It is more satisfying to have a book graded then to have a book rejected. So perhaps they are weighing their options. It's a good question that is raised and one that could be posted to CGC as to the reasoning that they are doing certain things. Hey, there is no more LTPC to worry about -5 on threads so perhaps threads in the 'ask cgc' area might be of service. I will might start one later. -

As Joey pointed out, that move is probably designed to decrease the number of books submitted for prescreens as that is probably seen as a waste of time by their graders. -

I think that a lot of the outrage really stems from the relationship between a price increase and an increase in TAT's. When you release a statement that you have hired more graders and increased the size of your facilities, the customer wants to receive something or see an improvement for that price increase. Instead, the turnaround times are steadily increasing. Myself and others would like to see some type of progress in this area to justify the costs rather than accommodate an already increasing problem. We are not seeing that here or at the least, the perception of curbing turn around times is not being properly presented. When something like this happens, the perception is automatically generated within that you, as the customer are not receiving as much bang for your buck. In short, if they want to increase fees, cool. A couple of dollars per book is really not a deal breaker if product was received and processed in a timely fashion. But, since that is not happening, people are a slight bit out of sorts over it.
