  1. Shrug... I cannot believe that I am even going to reply to this but this but I fell asleep and this is a great way to 'wake up a bit' before I get some work done. Mint, while originally used to describe a coin as having a condition as if it came straight from the 'mint', has entered the vernacular to describe a rated condition of most any collectible. It has gradually superseded its intended use for coins and has found its way into the descriptive grade for comics, toys, baseball cards, jewelry, automobiles, and many other collectibles or items that require a descriptive grade for the purpose of assigning a value to the said collectible or object. Hitting a home run is another word that has transcended its original use in the English vernacular to describe an instance where someone has gone the distance. Kayfabe has not. It's use here is awkward. Walk around the street and tell people you are breaking kayfabe and they will stare at you with confusion and then move on. Kayfabe is a very specific term used over the last 80 to 100 years describing the protection of the scripted nature of wrestling. So no, I don't see it here in use of comics. Is CGC or slabbed comics the "heel"? Is a raw comic book a "babyface"? Am I to assume that the conflict is between slabbed comics vs raw? Will there be a cage match or elimination chamber between the two? The use of the term 'kayfabe' is awkward to a casual viewer and instead of paying attention to the 'frat bro' like sounds of the hosts, a casual viewer is going to look up the term kayfabe and try to figure out what the hosts are talking about. So, upon reflection, after you decided to challenge it, yeah, I feel it is misused. Originally it was really an observation, but since you seem to take issue with it, I decided to sit back and think about it. I am sure that there will be some retort so we will cut that off now and just say, 'you win'. You are right. Feel better? You win. You are right. Whatever it is you want to say, "You win, you are right."
  2. Star Wars: Rebels 1: Kanan Rai and the Future Force 9 Gold edition Cap 25 x 2 Rat Queens 1 ASM 441 Silver Surfer 1 Darkhawk 1
  3. I read that wrong and immediately went back to the figure to look for his guitar.
  4. There was nothing that would land myself in court over it especially with what was written. While the estate could petition a court with a grievance if they truly wanted, even if it would be accepted, I would go after them in return.
  5. On top of that they are using wrestling terminology for a show about comics.
  6. Agreed, edited on further discussion.
  7. It also comes with the Rogue One Kyber Crystal containers. I have to admit that if I did not already have the original version of this I would be all over it even at $400. The reason I never bought the big Lego version was because I already had this. Depending on what the reviews say, If I were to stumble across one locally, I could see myself selling my loose one for around $300 minus the original figures, in order to get the newer version. It would make sense as I would keep the original Han and Chewbacca figures with headsets, and get two new figures with the porgs, alternate radar dish, cargo containers and whatever else they pack in. I really want that Hondo figure. However, if a bunch of Hondo figures fall off the back of a truck and that Tughori guy on eBay sells them like he does with the rest of the stolen stuff, I might make a purchase for the extra stuff that way.
  8. I have zero interest in these. With that said, I do late night Target shopping at least one a week as I have one close to me and they have a few things I like that are cheaper there than to buy at a normal grocery or Amazon Fresh. If you want, give me a list of what you are looking for and I will keep an eye out. Worse case scenario I return it the next week.
  9. Ohhhh https://www.target.com/p/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-galaxy-8217-s-edge-millennium-falcon-smuggler-8217-s-run/-/A-79416673 I actually have that Falcon already... it's called the BMF Falcon... I am sure they updated the sound given the fact it includes Hondo in it and all of the porgs and an extra Radar dish. At $400 though? I bought it originally from TRU back in 2008 for around $150 http://www.rebelscum.com/TLCBMF.asp The Falcon is huge and one of those cold dead hand toys I have. Seats four figures in the cockpit. It is a beast and if you don't have it, it is worth saving for. The reason they are selecting that price point probably has to do with the fact that they run around $400 on the secondary market. I never want to hear that Hasbro doesn't pay attention to eBay. Making it a Target exclusive though? The store exclusives are selling out and they are not being stocked in the shelves. Fans are losing interest in buying this stuff when they cannot find product. They 'grow out of it". At $400 this should have been made available to order on Hasbro Pulse and they made them to order. What is going to happen is that people are going to speculate and buy them and then return them if they cannot make any money off of it. By the time they return it the store has already put them on clearance and loses money on the deal ordering less SW product in the future.
  10. Real life Disney human sized version or... is there a new ... toy?
  11. The Snake Eyes figure is a mini-sideshow figure. I am not kidding. It is one of the few recent figures that I know off the top of my head as, "Snake Eyes v54" Check it... this re-release does not have the alternate head though https://www.yojoe.com/action/11/snakeeyes54.shtml
  12. My customization skill set involves parts swapping. Once you pick up tools to plastic, I am an observant and not a participant.
  13. No worries at all. You said you were taking off from this on Monday... I honestly was not expecting you to. Thanks though and looking forward to tonight.
  14. I had Ahsoka in my basket but I did not want to go down that rabbit hole... I wound up only ordering Bumblebee.
  15. @fantastic_four Any chance that the 6" line heads have universal joints across the brands? Obviously a "Thing" figure will not have the same joint as a Cyclops head... but I was thinking along the lines of a human head. I saw that someone had taken the Black Widow head and placed it on Scarlet's body and I was looking to attach an unmasked clone trooper head on my Boba Fett.
  16. Honestly the o-ring design is antiquated and presents too many challenges. Supposedly, most of the molds to these have been lost, and it would be too cost prohibitive to resculpt the line from existing figures. The Ghostbusters line and vintage SW lines involved casting figures off of molds based on vintages figures containing 5 POA. GI Joe gets a bit more complicated to do that at this point. We know the mold for V2 Snake Eyes 1985 is completely lost. That was made clear when they reintroduced the line as TRU exclusives with that Lady Jaye, Snake Eyes, Stormshadow v1 three pack. The card art depicted V2 but they did not have the molds for them.. Ever since then they have made new figures of the V2 design or used the V1 mold, which they still have. (They have used the complete V1 mold in six instances over the years and utilized parts of it in other figure designs.) V2 Snake Eyes is lost... but that is the one that is most noticeable. There are many others that have also been lost, destroyed, or as rumor has it, on the bottom of the ocean.
  17. You know what, I am wrong here... I should have clarified. This was only available through Target. I am going to edit that in right now.
  18. Target Exclusives, GI Joe Special Missions Cobra Island: Beachhead and others went from "Wait until these go live at 9am" to "This item is unavailable to be preordered to your zip code" at 9am and 1 second. People have been complaining about Hasbro's mismanagement of the supply chain for years. Hasbro itself is partially responsible for the death of their own lines. I am not planning on collecting these but I was looking forward to picking up Beachhead and maybe a few others if they make them (Wet Suit, Recondo, Clutch and a Vamp... ) If I cannot find the figure I want, there is less of a chance moving forward that I will continue looking for figures from the line let alone paying attention to it. Let's also consider this, in a Covid-19 world, I am not going on a "toy run" like I did 10 years ago. I want to go to the computer and order what I am looking for. I thought that this is why I has a membership to Hasbro Pulse?
  19. Kind of... CGC has usually graded coverless books with facsimile covers as NG before. Remaindered copies have gotten a .5. However, the book's original logo and cutout of Superman place it in the realm of having a partial cover like a remaindered copy. They probably were torn between restoration and a partial cover... so... they considered it as a partial cover .5 with a facsimile copy of the cover along with it.
