    I watched them (rented from Netflix) a couple of months ago with my five year old daughter. She loved them. The only downside was for a week she was laughing constantly like Elmer Fudd.

    What I find curious about some of these old timers, is that they didn't seem to take their work too seriously, at least in retrospect and seemed to even downplay any significance attributed to their art. Which I gues is how artists should behave, constantly moving forward, being only as good as their last cover or play or film, etc.

    I'll take the Slam Bang! (that doesn't sound so good) I'd take the Smash Comics: It's got the Ray and a Plastic Man proto character and a robot. (thumbs u Don't forget a villain with a hook for a hand! Great art and stories hidden within that slab, too.

    I'm kind of a Tojo man myself. Hitler was a great villain. I came across this book recently (now on ebay) It has all three of WWII axis of evil on the cover. Some creative kid replace the sliced off top portion with his own art. Clever!

    I was wondering the same thing His last post was September 10th? Maybe he was affected by Hurricane Ike. It was a pretty big storm. Oh god, I hope not. The thought of that beautiful collection being impacted, makes me sad. Oh...and I hope BZ's OK, too.

    What many people don't know about this painting is that before the pigment darkened in the upper right side of the painting, due to improper storage, you could plainly see a glory hole.

    Archie would probably make it in the 1st tier. Shield and Black Hood would be 2nd tier. I'm thinking of them at the actual time they were out during the GA and not what we would consider them now. Now, a character like the Hangman would be 2nd tier, back then he was most likely 3rd tier.
