  1. Great thread. Although when I first saw it I thought it was going to be a GGA thread.
  2. I never could complete the run. For some reason I couldn't find an 8 or 11. Every other one was easy at the time. Favorite cover of the run was 7.
  3. Those Hangman books! Those Harry Lucey covers! You're killing me.
  4. What a cover! Back in the day when gravity didn't exist.
  5. Well, he's funny. Girls like that and I bet his hat is really, really big.
  6. Cool book! Love that film. That film and films like This Island Earth, were part of a Golden Age of Sci Fi films. Good score.
  7. I remember going to a mom and pop store in the 60's and they had boxes of multple mint Charlton Comics. There were 20-30 copies of this one alone.
  8. I'm just amazed by the page quality of these books. I've had white page book where the interior covers were tanned and tanned page book where the interior covers were white. So many factors go into how books age.
  9. I wait until after I see a movie to read reviews. There can often be a huge disconnect between what the critics see and what I see.
  10. This last episode, in my opinion, was the best and my favorite. It drew me in completely.
  11. Completing that run is still doable, too. Number 7 was always my favorite cover. Has a similar feel to Top Notch 9. Was it Ed Ashe who did that cover?
  12. I remember when this story first came out. For some reason I felt that the trimming rumor was due to sour grapes on someone's part. I don't know for sure, though.
  13. These were from a collection where the house burned down. The colors were vivid. The books had some soot on them, but were supple and fresh. I no longer own them. I had a bunch of MLJ's from that collection, including some Archie Peps. I think it was called the Van Buren collection. The TN 10 was my favorite cover.
